This years may fair with its beautiful May Queen, and her princesses. this year we even had a May King and his princes. The theme this year was board games. The school and the Brownies has some amazing costumes as Mousetrap and Monopoly. MP Mike Penning was there to judge the competition with counciler Bert Chapman. it was a hard desicion, but everntually the cup went to the Brownies with there version of Mousetrap. this year there were lots of stalls, some where for amazing charities and some even had some tastey cakes! In the main arena the sun stayed shining for the may pole dancers. Even though it did start to rain the people of Markyate still came out in force and enjoyed the day. Thank you to everyone that came and supported your village.
