We love this pub every time we visit Dorset we come here for their wonderful carvery its spot on. Definitely will come here next time

We have just had the most amazing Mothers day Lunch.



Nothing was too much trouble, excellent service, fabulous menu selection and truly delicious food.



This has become our new go-go place for Sunday lunch.

Stopped here yesterday for the first time. We were looking for somewhere to have a light meal at lunchtime and came across The Martyrs Inn. We were not disappointed. We both opted for the ham ploughman’s and it was delicious. We will definitely return when we are next in the area.

Nice and tender carvery meat was of high quality/taste good local beer on too....

I can only say that when we met friends here a few weeks ago, the welcome we got was lovely and the food was delicious. It is a personal experience of course, but we were more than happy with everything, and I said we would be back....and on fact we are goping back tomorrow (weather permitting) and looking forward to it.

First time at curry night on Monday - fabulous! Really good variety of curries and all beautifully cooked, no jars of curry sauce used here. Starter and pud plus a small drink included made it really good value at £11.99pp and there's no doubt we'll be back again. ��

Excellent food from a good menu. Friendly and helpful staff. We have a bit of a trek to get there, but it is well worth it. Warning: only tackle the sundaes if you genuinely have room for them, they are big. The portions are generous, so think carefully before opting for a sundae. Great meals, good ambience and staff.

Brilliant pub. Very accommodating for food allergies. We went to the Italian buffet night and they prepared amazing gf and tomato free Italian food for my son to eat. Service is fantastic.

As Vegans, we find it difficult to find decent places to eat. The Martyrs Inn bent over backwards to help and adapted a couple of things on the menu so they suited us. Staff were amazing. Thank You. ☺

A great place to visit with friends and family and dont miss the tollpuddle festival in july each year

We stopped for a quick lunch in the sunshine. Delicious roast pork and apple sauce baguette - I can still taste it. There is outside seating at the front of the pub but the road is very quiet so a pleasant place to sit and have a pint of Badger Ale.
