My son lost his wallet on crawley station steps at 2.30am, driver waiting for a fare handed it in to there office and after a phone to the station and cab office we able to collect it from there high St office. Very grateful for there honesty.

I used this company a lot up until recently when I moved,. Their an amazing company always reliable the staff are amazing and very kind people, the drivers are always willing to help with shopping etc. Now I used a few services in Crawley and by far metro beats them all. So if you need a cab don't hesitate call metro x

I use metro cars and only them, very regularly. I call the number, they know me by name...and even confirm where Im going (home) before I need to tell them. They are on time (mostly couple mins early but happy to wait) and the drivers are friendly and polite.



The free fiver is amazing. I currently have 7 cards all filled in with stamps!! Will use them one day I'm sure!!

Friend of mine uses metro weekly but recently was over charged for a ride from northgate to ifield went from £6.20 to £6.80 to £8.00 in a week confronted the driver who was not helpful and even refused to look at his charge sheet what makes it worse is this friend is both physically and mentally challenged.Shame on you.

Went from Brawley station to Horsham station stated price on board £18. Got there an driver charged me £20 saying Horsham a big place... Don't get taxi driver 211 robbing theif don't cut it

We booked one cab and when its arrived some other passenger came and told that they have been waiting for long so they boarded the car though the driver was having our number and our destination and we also waited for long. They did not allow us to get into the car and the driver was telling to swap the car. Highly disappointed with the service. We want some explanation for this type of service.

Very disappointed with Metro, we commissioned them to do all our taxi runs from a recent event and the driver we had drove in a very erratic and dangerous manner. When we complained to the company they reprimanded the driver, for which we were grateful, but were very rude and argumentative to us when we suggested some sort of compensation. They did not want to co-operate whatsoever and so after many years of using Metro we will not be hiring them again.

Used this company a few times but was badly let down when we arrived at Gatwick

Called the company when we collected our baggages and was sent a text ten minutes later saying the car was outside, we then searched for 20 minutes and phoned again. The man said a new car was a few minutes away so we waited ten minutes without receiving a new message with the car details to look for, again we had to phone and wait a further 10 minutes with two young children while all the other taxi firms picked up their clients on time for the car to finally pick us up.

We will be trying another company next time as I think that the first driver picked up someone with a bigger fare leaving us stranded with two young children by the side of the road.

So last night I ordered a taxi from Southgate to Horsham asking if I could pay on card which they confirmed on the phone the driver turned up and took us to our destination I asked if I could pay on card he then said no. After trying to call metro head office for 10 minutes and being on hold while still being in the taxi he told me to tell metro they were absolute fucking dickheads and he was leaving so he didn't care what he said and asking my friends dad to come outside as we went to open the door to get money he locked us inside the taxi not allowing us to get out at 3:30 in the morning after the head office finally took my payment over the phone I opened the door and said thanks in an off tone... he then told us to get the fuck out of his taxi and to fuck off. Vile driver and I don't know what his name was but head office told me to report him to the council. Anyone who orders through metro do not get in taxi number 121.

Overcharged for a journey from Crawley to just the other side of Rusper. Even though the the driver had the postcode as we had booked through our hotel he hadn`t checked where it was so we had to look it up on google. When we asked for a price before he set off he said it was fixed based on distance but wouldn`t give a price at that time. As the address had Capel in it when it came time to pay this is where he charged us too. We questioned the driver twice as the price he seemed too high be he said it was 100% certain he was correct. It was only after speaking to other guests and consulting a map we saw that Capel was a further 3 miles (50% more of this journey) away from the venue.

My partner got stuck and needed to get a taxi home from East Grinstead. Not knowing any taxi firms in East Grinstead I told her to book with Metro cars. when I got home that night she said how nice the driver was and how polite and helpful and in turn my partner tipped the driver as a thank you.



So your thinking why the one star??



Well my partner needed to get a taxi the next day again from East Grinstead, when she called up to book her taxi she got a very rude gentleman on the phone who spoke to her very bluntly and said you called a Crawley taxi firm your not local which firstly was weird as the day before they were happy to get her a taxi booked, he finally booked the taxi for and requested card payment over the phone when my partner questioned this and said that the day before she didn't have to pay card and was able to pay cash, he got extremely rude and told her that is how it is take it or leave it with that she left it and managed to get a booking with Western cars who were very nice and again made sure my partner got back swiftly from work.



I would never recommend or use metro cars again as this bad service has ruined the previous service we have received before!! True shame that your let down by your office staffs rude attitude on the phone.

Made to pay an additional £50 halfway through our journey due to an error made by the company. We mentioned at the Taxi rank we had more than one drop off, this was not reciprocated to the driver, we had to pay when half of our group had left the taxi already! If we knew it was going to be £130 to get home we would not have used this company. We had to pay a great deal more just for one friend to literally jump out on route to our drop off place (no extra petrol would have been used).



We then phone called the company to ask why the extra £50 charge on top of the £80, the guy Michael was very nice on the phone. However the driver was agitated so much by the fact we rung up his company to query his charge that he dialled the number for the police! Very unnecessary and stressful especially for two girls in the car, we were all calm throughout but the driver was angry and intimidating. If I could turn back time I would rather walk home on the motorway, 28 miles, at 4am in the rain next time than deal with the stress again.

I have used metro cars for over 5 years and I must say they have let me down badly. You cannot leave someone waiting for 30 minutes in the cold at night and just keep saying five minutes and not even being apologetic. Bad service, bad communication, I won't be using them again!

How do i go about getting my taxi fare back?

The driver me and dad had today was incredibly rude, he was talking on his phone for the whole journey and then threw my bags out when we got to my street.



That's not good customer service at all.



I would like my money back please.

Got outside my house and the driver refused to take my money as there was 5 2p's, gave me back the money and said 'what is this' in a horrible aggressive way 'give me 6.20' i had every right to get out the car and not even pay the driver, but i'm not like that so I said that's all i had and I am not going to a cash machine to withdraw £10 and for him to charge me to stop at a cash machine. I found him very rude and aggressive who then took the money counted it said there was only £5 there, counted it again saying 'i was wrong' then realised I was right (there was £6) Then babbled on about how the bank don't allow 2ps and I got out and left. Not happy and also made me late for my doctors appointment!

Booked a car yesterday, for my husband to go to the airport at 4am this morning. All confirmed - no problem. 4am, cab didn't turn up. He rang at 4:15 and they had no record of the booking. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their reliability 🙄

Absolutely awful service. As being a regular customer that uses this taxi company in Crawley, I pre- booked my taxi to arrive on a scheduled time - in advance! Not only did they turn up 45 minutes late by that point I had rung 5 times to ask where it had been or to at least get a reasonable explanation so they lied twice on their whereabouts, they didn't apologise nor did they try to explain the situation. I'm distressed and upset and will never use this service nor will I recommend to my friends or family! Absolutely disgusting customer service and it's a shame they've given themselves a bad name. I get that it's busy this time of year but when you pre - book they can apologise at the least if they don't plan to show up!
