We had a fantastic meal, the mixed grill was truely massive!

Staff very friendly and weather permitting finish with drinks on the lawn afterwards.

Very pleasant staff very helpful and a great meal. The new menu had a good selection and had something for everyone. Well worth a visit

It was years since I went there and the staff and food back then wasn't very good. But I was taken there for an early mothers day meal on the Saturday afternoon. 25/03/17 and I have to say what a change . The staff were friendly and attentive. And the food was delicious. I felt like it was a top restaurant. Even though I paid the price for it the next day ( I'm diabetic) I would recommend their Brioche and butter berry pudding with homemade custard. Well done to the chef and kitchen staff for excellent food and to the waiting staff for their attention to their customers

Fantastic service all round this evening. My waitress Sydonnie was welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout. I had the lamb rump for my dinner, it was perfectly cooked and delicious thank you to the chefs. Highly recommended.

we came here yesterday as a party of 15 for my mum's birthday, we decided to eat outside as the weather was so nice and the staff was fantastic, took our order for us (although initially told to order at the bar) and no complaints with the food - all good!

Very nice place, clean, tidy and friendly staff. The WiFi is a bit hit and miss, but the ale is good. Main problem, only one way in. When it rains, the entrance gets flooded, so you risk getting wet feet or even a soaking when cars drive by to get into the Premier Inn at the back. Council doing the walking area alongside the main road, so to get to the inn, you need to cross at the lights further back, walk along the other side of the road, then take your life in your hands, running across the busy Brighton Road (A23). Be nice if there was another entrance further up the road. Gripe over, will still visit.

There was 3 adults in our group we hadn't booked didn't expect to at 4.30pm on a Saturday... the greater seemed mightily put out by this.... anyway food was amazing delicious but towards the end the restaurant was getting busy and we were forgotten.... because the food was so great we came back the following day and did book... again food amazing...

The setting was good - the food was good but I didn't like the way the staff were in too much of a hurry to get us out. When we arrived we waited to be seated but several staff members walked past us without acknowledging us and we were kept waiting for ages. I think I would give a score of 0 out of 10 for ambiance.

Had a email offering 40% off mains, when we told the waitress we had a discount code she told us it didn't apply to the Mill House and we should have read the terms & conditions. Since they have done up the place they haven't been added to the discount codes. Still apart from our starters beings cold everything else was good.

Generous food, great service. Only complaint was that I had a draft on me the whole time (in the lean to section) but the other main food section just smelt of the cooking coming from the kitchen - better extraction in the kitchen perhaps? Love how the whole place is divided into nooks and open areas. Great for private dining if required.

Food was excellent the only thing that i hated was when i arrived I had to use the Gents and they stunk of stale urine. Did kill my appetite a bit as i read the notice toilets are regularly inspected. I did not say anything as i did not want to ruin the evening but a bucket of bleach would have solved this issue.

My dinner was described as minted lamb came with no mint taste so was then given a pot of mint sauce on complaining so meat was cold by that time my mums chicken in breadcrumbs was inedible as it was so greasy and was served cold custard with fridge cold sponge trio could not be bothered to complain again so I would not go there again and would certainly not recommend to anyone !!!!

There was a table of six, who came after us and they got their food before us, whilst our was ready for a while

The halloumi fries were cold, so the waitress took them and brought them back (after putting them back in the oil) after a couple of minutes. The waitress asked if we enjoyed them this time and when we said we thought it has been reheated she went to check it with the cook and we were right ... after the main, the waitress brought the bill straight away, without asking if we want any pudding. There was just one waiter who was really kind and worked by the bar that day and a lady who asked if we know that there is refill on the lemonade (no one mentioned that before). That was our first and last visit there, not the best service that day.

Jason was very rude and arrogant. Refused to help and gave attitude towards me. Wont be coming here again. Disgusting service!
