We looked for a long time to find the right type of environment for my very high spirited 4 year old.We went around MK trying different classes,which as a mum I found very excitin...g,because I saw my son trying different things and I was waiting for this light bulb moment when something will go SWITCH and he'll be hooked. Well....none of that happened at martial arts,football,drama class and a few other placed...I was so surprised to see that the people teaching these classes seemed to have no passion for what they are teaching or had no skill to teach little kids,especially those with a lot of energy like mine who are not always easy to handle.Kids have such intuition,they know when something just doesn't feel right. I decided to give it a break and just have fun with my son trying different sports together without a structured class,so we decided to go to Kingston Gymnastics where they have open visits to the gym. There we saw Katie, one of the coaches, teaching a class and I was really impressed. It looked like a wonderful place with a lot of passion for the sport and a lot of love for the children who go there.We then visited a few classes and although my boy was challenging at first with the right approach the coaches brought out the best in him and he really started blossoming.He now eagerly awaits his gymnastics class every week. So I would like to say a special thank you to Katie and Beth for being so great and so hard working.It is really tought to work with children and I am sure they have good days and bad days as anyone else,but they are passionate about what they do,treat the children with kindness and respect and are a great example to those little boys and girls.
