These photos are of a iPad which was brought into us and this customer had had the screen replace and quickly after, this is what happened. The power button and wifi was not working and when we opened the device, the previous repairer had not fixed the LCD back down and it had become wedged between the digitizer and the case, which caused the damage you see. The customer paid £120.00 for this repair and the new digitizer, the power button cable and the wifi cable were all damaged and needed replacing. People - there is a scam around at the moment and a few of our customers have been victim to it. A caller will telephone saying they are from a company that has all your details and your subscription to Microsoft has expired and you now have to pay a fee. They tell you that the FBI will be calling you if you do not renew the subscription and they have evidence that you have broken the law, but if you pay, they can make it go away! They are very convincing and persuade you to allow them to log into your computer, they then install a password that will prevent you starting your computer unless you pay the fee. These people are very convincing and the best people are caught. One of our customers was on the phone for an hour with one of these people and watched helplessly while passwords were changed.
