Welcome to my wonderful world of cakes by award-winning cake maker & designer, Beata Khoo. I create scrumptious and stunning selection of gorgeous cakes for all occasions. All cakes have been hand-crafted to the individual wishes of each client. What is common to all, however, is the highest possible quality, service and attention to detail - a
ommitment which is central to all my work.

Just a quick reminder that it is never too early to book your cake into my diary! Thank you ever so much for your custom.

PRICE GUIDE:
- Cupcakes: from £2 (depending on design)
- Cake Pops: from £2 (depending on design)
- Cakes: Price starts from £45 and it vary depending on size, type of cake & amount of decoration needed:
a) Vanilla cakes with strawberries, raspberry, cherries, lemon, orange : or any other flavours.
b) Chocolate cake, cappuccino, toffee, bubble gum, vanilla and chocolate orange
c) Photo cake

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

By paying your deposit it will be deemed that the terms and conditions are understood and accepted as applying to your order. 1) PAYMENT CONDITIONS
A) PRICES
All prices are non-negotiable and priced according to your exact design and the size of your cake.
Following your consultation /enquiry, your quote is valid for up to 1 month (for wedding cakes) or 14 Days (for celebration cakes). Paying your deposit will secure this price & the slot in the diary.

B) DEPOSITS
A non-refundable 50% deposit (total of the cake & delivery price) is required in order to secure the commission of your cake and chosen date with My Sweet Passion Cakes.
If your deposit is not paid within 1 month (for wedding cakes) or 14 days (for celebration cakes) of quoting, we then reserve the right to cancel any previous arrangements.
Cheques are accepted for the deposit but cannot be used as payment method for the final payment. Cheques should be made payable to B Khoo.

C) PAYMENT
Payment should be made by bank transfer to B Khoo, Nationwide, Sort Code 07-04-36, Account no. 19271063. Please email us with confirmation of transfer in order to prompt acknowledgement of the payment.
Final payment for your wedding cake is required no later than 7 days before the collection / delivery. It is your responsibility to remember to send this payment, as a reminder invoice is not issued.
Final payment for your celebration cake can be made on the day of collection (same day bank transfer or cash).
Cheques cannot be used as payment method for the final payment.
If full payment is not received and cleared in our account before cake collection /delivery then the order will not be released.

D) CANCELLATION
If cancellation of an order takes place we reserve the right to retain your non-refundable 50% deposit. If cancellation takes place less than 7 days before the event then we reserve the right to seek 100% of the order value.
Cancellation must be made in writing (by letter or email) to My Sweet Passion Cakes and will only be deemed to take effect from the date your letter /email is received at our premises.
If you postpone the event we will endeavour to transfer your order providing the date is suitable for ourselves, otherwise it shall be treated as a cancellation (see above).
We retain the right to cancel the booking in very unusual circumstances beyond our control, such as fire or ill health, during which we will refund any money taken in full.

2) DESIGN CONDITION
A) ALTERATION & CHANGES
It is your responsibility to read & check the quote thoroughly; any amendments to design should be made in writing.
If requested, we will endeavour to adjust the design where possible, but sometimes this is not possible according to the nature of the request or amount of notice given. If the alteration affects the cost, or preparation work for the original design has already been undertaken, then your balance will be adjusted accordingly. Please warn us when you pay your deposit if you are undecided on the design.
We reserve the right to change the design at any point if circumstances beyond our control, may compromise the quality of the finished cake, e. g. melting due to weather.
Each cake is made individually by hand, so although every effort is made to ensure consistency, a small amount of variation may occur from the design requested / picture supplied.

B) CHOCOLATE
We recommend extreme caution if you are considering a cake decorated with chocolate for a summer wedding (May-September). We cannot accept responsibility for any melting of the cake once it has left our possession, as we have no control over the environment / venue temperature. We can however advise you of designs that are less susceptible to melting and do everything within our control to reduce the impact on the cake.

C) FLOWERS
If your cake requires fresh flowers, then these are not included in the price. We can work with your florist but expect you to make all the necessary arrangements with the florists. Please note My Sweet Passion Cakes are not responsible for any problems with your fresh flowers.
We cannot take responsibility for any damage rendered to the cake caused by a floral arrangement that was implemented by your florist.
If fresh flowers are used, the cake will be set-up as late as feasibly possible to ensure their freshness throughout the day, but depending on the varieties used & the weather conditions at the time, it may be necessary to cut the cake relatively early on in the proceedings to ensure their freshness for the photography.

3) ALLERGIES & SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
A) SPECIAL DIETS
Please discuss with us if you or any of your guests have special dietary requirements. Cakes can be made gluten-free /egg-free and alcohol-free.
Please be aware that although ingredients such as nuts can be removed from the cakes, they are still used in our kitchen so we cannot guarantee that any of our cakes are completely free of them.

B) NON-EDIBLE ITEMS
Most cakes contain small proportions of inedible items; it is the client’s responsibility to ensure these are removed by your caterer /guests before consumption e. g. Support dowels in tiered cakes, ribbon, wires in sugar flowers, Swarovski crystals, flower picks & flower tape etc.
Some flowers (e. g. Ivy) are poisonous and not suitable for use on food products, you should notify your flower supplier of your intention to use the flowers on food to ensure that non-poisonous flowers are used.

Why attend a course many would say, when I have been making cakes myself for several years? Things move on quickly, there are always new products and techniques to learn. From the 1st enquiry by email Beata was friendly, helpful, professional, this continued during the class and after.

The Isomalt course was a small class, quality of teaching was excellent. Beata was able to teach, watch and step in to guide when need. I learned many techniques in this medium which I will now consolidate by practice, and I know that help is only a phone call or message away. I highly recommend this course.

I had the most amazing day with Beata today learning how to make sugar flowers. Never did I realise that my roses would look so real. Beata made the day very enjoyable and took her time to show us how not only to make the flowers but also how to rectify any issues we may of had whilst making them. Would recommend her to anyone who wants to learn cake craft and would also recommend the Polish coffee that was made throughout the day.

I had another Birthday cake Made for my 30th this July. It is safe to say that the cake was the highlight of the party. It looked amazing, my guests loved it and of course it tasted scrumptious. Beata is Fab!

She is Amazing Amazing teacher with a beautiful Soul .. I have learned almost everything about Isomalt all ready to practice and get perfect at it.. From the very beginning Beata made my life a whole lot easier. I was a bit reluctant to buy a cake trough Facebook, I didn't quite know how to approach the subject, but Beata made me feel at ease with her super friendly customer service. Beata, where do I start....thank you so much for the amazing Hippo cake you made for my friends 50th, he was absolutely bowled over. Everyone was so impressed and the cake was the talk of the party and people are still talking about it! I do believe we gave you a challenging brief....gay priest, mad about Hippos and Dolly Parton and we honestly could not have been happier with the end result, it really was the most incredible cake we have ever seen, smelt and tasted! How anyone can make such a huge work of art taste and smell so good too is beyond belief!
