Neverworld is made up of three magical and distinct realms.
The Neverwoods, home of the mischievous Lost BoysTribe, is one great big adventure playground with woods, beautiful lake, and a giant fortress!
Skull Ridge, home of the anarchistic, steam-punk Pirate’s Tribe, is a boomtown of casinos, cabaret clubs and secret all-night parties, built around a disused old goldmine. Only the bravest dare enter.
... Mermaids Lagoon, home of the hedonistic Mermaid’s Tribe, is the Club Tropicana of Neverworld. Our ‘Miami Beach’ for outrageous creatures. It is a dazzling flirtatious place. When the neon begins to buzz, anything could happen!

This was my first festival 3 dayer and have to say it has been one of my most best experiences of my life and my friends agree!! Personally I've been to gigs of all types of music and like them all the same and the Leefest Neverland definitely had something for everyone!! EVERY 5-10mins my eyes would see something new/entertaining!

The festive people were so friendly and so were the staff/artists.

The set up of the the three realms were amazing, definitely looked the part!!

I see people have said this was an improvement on last time, but I'd like to say for the next festival I hope they didn't change it caus it was absolutely perfect and I defo would bring family and more friends next time!! I could just imagine my 4 yr old son enjoying the antics in the realms between the Pirates and lost boys!!

A big Well Done to all involved, I can't stop thinking about it, wish we were all still there!!

User

Our first year at Neverworld and we absolutely loved it! The line up was incredible, discovered lots of new bands and artists as well as enjoying big names like Clean Bandit, Bastille and Sub Focus. Lovely and small so you feel part of the community, everyone was really friendly! Loved the variety of music styles: pop, rock, drum'n'bass, afrobeats, indie, house... as well as comedy, cabaret, games and a paint fight - something for everyone! Drinks were great and so reasonable, lovely food stalls too. Have already got our tickets for next year and can't wait to go again! A real mini Glasto!

User

My first ever festival so I don't have anything to compare it to but I thought it was almost perfect. It was an incredible atmosphere and friendly vibe, very safe for my 3 children, staff all helpful and fun. Great balance of things to do for the children and fabulous music.

A couple of gripes, keep the luxury toilets open for longer, more than 4 showers (not that I needed one but it would have been nice seeing as we'd paid for them!) a faster queuing system on arrival.

Thank you Leefest for making our first festival experience so memorable. Keep doing what you're doing, it's amazing

User

I won tickets for this festival and I didn't know what to expect. I cant believe how much fun I had. Not only where the helpers/staff lol so lovely and friendly but every one I met was so lovely and theres such good vibes at this festival. I like that the festival is not to big. I liked the activities and how everyone got involved. I would recommend this festival to any body and next year I'm not missing this for the world. The party in your pants was really epic and probably my favourite thing. Bring that back next year please x

User

Had an amazing time last year and look forward to going back!! I went with a small group of friends for the weekend, the daytimes were relaxing, we sat in the sun by the main stage enjoying some great bands but once the sun went down the party started!! I would highly recommend this festival !!

User

First time there - loved the event - Thanks to all the team at Neverworld

User

By far the best festival I have ever been to! Been the last few years and can’t wait to see what they have in store for this year! The decor is amazing and everyone is so friendly, such a lovely fun place!

User

Best festival you will go to!! A proper festival not just a concert in a field like all these bigs ones are like now, I have been for the past 7 years and it gets better every year, entertainment for everyone

User

Very atmospheric and intimate venue. Great camping, especially in the boutique tents!

User

Generally a very positive experience. The site was perfect for the festival, and we particularly loved the Neverwoods, where we could sit in the shade with our dog and still listen to the main stage bands. I loved the fact that the festival was dog friendly - there weren't many dogs there, but at least owners had the option to bring their dog if they wished (all dogs very well behaved, BTW). Our children are not so little now, but I loved seeing so many families with children there. People tend to behave better in a family environment, and it was great to see youngsters having lots of fun. On the negative side there needed to be more toilets and they needed to be better maintained. Some might suggest more showers too, but I guess that there will always be queues at peak times, and my daughter and I queued for only 5 mins for our afternoon shower. Hot water guaranteed is more important - my husband did not enjoy his cold shower for £10. It was our first festival camping, and I would have welcomed a 'quiet camping' area for those who don't want to party all night. I don't begrudge others having fun, I just think that a designated quiet area might encourage those who know they are likely to be noisy to camp elsewhere, and also encourage anyone walking by to be more considerate, especially in the early hours. We do plan to go next year and will be more careful where we pitch our tent; we will also bring ear plugs!

User

As I local to the area I didn't have to deal with the poor facilities for camping. The toilets were eco composting things but reasonably disgusting. The urinal areas were just a bodged up bit of site fencing and gutter. Seems like some serious cutbacks on facilities. As for the music it was all very good. Great time spent in the gold mine loving sub focus.

The bars were all running out of alcohol by 10 on the last night. They were also not taking cards towards the end. so you had to use the rip off cash machines.

Great selection of food and something for everyone's taste.

Will go again next year, but definitely won't be camping if the facilities were as poor as this year, I'd rather my 40min walk home.

User

A great small festival, great vibe. Read our 2018 review and see the photos on Rockshot Mag

User

What an awesome festival my third one now and it's just getting better great job guys see you all next year peace out.

User

Overall we had a great time and the kids loved it too. The site was small enough for the kids to have some freedom and it was easy for the adults to take it in turns to be in the arena when the kids were in bed. There were never huge queues for the bars which we appreciated. We really enjoyed the music and the other activities on offer. We would have loved for Hooks Bar to have bands on later in to the evening as we saw some great stuff in there.

Duncan in his 4 x 4 driving our stuff up to the family camping was a massive bonus and a big relief following the security debacle. Thank you so much Duncan.

I understand that the torrential rain prior to the festival did delay the opening time, and that was not anyone's fault but the weather's! However, the time the two security guards took searching everyone's bags and sleeping bags for alcohol was an incredibly disappointing start to the festival. We felt it was totally unnecessary and caused a lot of stress and impatience (especially for the kids). I would need to know that this was process was being improved before I would consider coming again as it was a very negative start to Leefest. Perhaps 3 or 4 times the amount of security staff is needed or perhaps you just don't need to worry so much about people bringing alcohol in to the campsite.

The luxury toilets on the family campsite were unattended and were usually found in a pretty disgusting state. I am no stranger to festival toilets, so I don't actually expect "luxury", but in the family area especially, these should have been given some attention.

One other thing that might be worth considering is with the Apothecary Cabaret daytime show. I think we were naive in taking our kids in to the 3:30pm show as we were expecting a toned down version for the daytime. In fairness, the compere did say at the start that he was surprised to see kids in there and that we could leave if we wanted to. Once we had all sat down, the kids didn't want to leave! It's no-one's fault (except our own, as we could have left!), but a sign outside warning of nudity and very strong language would have meant we could make an informed decision before going in. Everyone was unscathed, so not a complaint, just a suggestion.

Anyway, as I said, overall we had a brilliant time and we were very sad to leave on Sunday. Thanks Leefest for a great weekend and I hope that both the positive and the negative feedback is useful. We would love to come again.

User

Good but you need ear plugs music on till 5 in the morning

Been to this festival last year, and in fact work and travel to festivals all over the country, this was currently my 8th this year, and by miles the absolute worst... Main negatives were:

The toilets, absolutely disgusting, I didn’t see them cleaned once and some of the ones we used were that full you were almost practically sitting in sewage, not to mention 90% of the times we went no hand sanitiser was left, and to supply one tub to a row of toilets is absolutely ridiculous.

The tap water, tasted absolutely vile and by day two both myself and others were being sick, luckily soon enough I realised it was the water and had to pay for bottles all weekend, knowing what festivals can be like I obviously know the standard can be low but it tasted literally disgusting with bits in it also.

We barely went to the bar, when we did by 10pm they had run out of vodka, rum, lime, lager and ginger beers... so we queued for half an hour for some red bull and soda (even then they got our order wrong). Numerous times we were overcharged and certain members of staff came across pretty rude.

Went to the beach on Saturday night for 11pm, no music on??? Confused we went to the rainbow rooms (also empty with no music) where there seemed to be some sort of argument taking place and security said all the music had been stopped for the night.. absolutely ridiculous as we’d been too sick from the water the day before to go out so were looking forward to finally enjoying a few acts on that night. You’ve advertised music until 2am how can it be being stopped at 11pm??

Also, I can appreciate people will have fun at festivals, but the tent to our left had toddlers and babies inside whilst the tent on our right was full of grown men who woke everyone up at 5am shouting about sniffing cocaine. Personally I think that’s disgusting and maybe you should consider some drugs checks (considering there were NONE) rather than checking numbers of beer cans

I loved this place last year hence why I travelled down hundreds of miles to be here this year, it’s a shame to see this happen.

User

So disappointed! I paid to have a stand at LeeFest 2017, and am STILL owed my deposit of £25. I have written to them on so many occasions about it. I have since spoken to other people who worked for LeeFest and have not been paid. As a festival looking to build a community based around sharing enjoyment, exploiting those who work for you is surely not a good part of your business plan!

User

And thus, leefest gave just paid their performers from 2017 exactly 6 month after the festival. No communication from them as to what was happening throughout the last 6 month, and all emails sent asking why we hadn't been paid have been ignored. DO NOT work for this festival, unless you don't like being paid anywhere near on time for the work you have done.

User

A festival that doesn't pay its staff, you know the ones that work themselves to the bone? That do crazy hours and just get on with it because it needs doing. Leefest hasn't done it's job and paid the people that kept it running. What a joke. Good luck finding staff next year guys

A festival that doesn't pay its staff, you know the ones that work themselves to the bone? That do crazy hours and just get on with it because it needs doing. Leefest hasn't done it's job and paid the people that kept it running. What a joke. Good luck finding staff next year guys

A great small festival, great vibe. Read our 2018 review and see the photos on Rockshot Mag
