We still have a blaze of colour for making summer containers, hanging baskets or jazzing up borders - make sure you find your way into our polytunnel..and don't forget your sunglasses! π
We are having a lot of fun this year finding and growing some unusual and different plants. At the moment the 'tropical' look is coming together with Eucomis, Gingers, Colocasias, Canna lilies and the interesting Fatsia Green fingers - to name but a few. Welcome to the jungle! πΆ
This Campanula looks great in a hanging basket, you can really appreciate the subtle details of this lovely flower when it's at eye level. Some other examples too of using perennials in hanging baskets including ferns and Hostas, lot of ideas! Lucky to work with creative garden people! π #bedfordshireplantnursery #gardenideas
Lots of colour even on a grey day! Bedding plants all topped up for the weekend along with a new delivery of fresh herbs..oh and strawberries are back, lots of people have been asking.
Love getting to play with new plants and make great combinations. Orange is one of my favourite colors and this #Gazania is just delicious! It goes fantastically well with these new #woodlodge mirrored pots - and throw in an orange-flowering canna with purple leaves..perfect. I'm feeling summery! #bedfordshireplantnursery
New in! I really love this #violaheartthrob, definitely will have one in my shady border and so lush it looks like it could be tropical! Love #plantsforshade
For anyone not been in for a while, here is a little stroll through the nursery- taken yesterday in the sunshine. We have never had so many plants (or pots for that matter) - we are loving the full, verdant feel to the place, we hope you do too π±πΏπ
- Open bank holiday monday as usual, 9-5

I can honestly say we have never looked better π #plantsbedfordshire #plantnurseriesbedfordshire #perennials #palms #bamboos #gardencentre
Enjoying the tulips in the sun today...but I should be getting busy covering plants and moving them under cover, frost is forecast tonight, and there is a lot of soft new growth on things (eg. Acers, Pieris, Wisteria flower buds etc) which will get damaged if not covered. Ready with the fleece everybody!
Mark getting creative with old broken pots and sempervivums this morning, love this! #justideas #plantsbedfordshire #plantnurseriesbedfordshire #sempervivum
We have got some fabulous plants and arrangements perfect for mothering Sunday - or maybe just a treat for yourself!! We have also suddenly gone into houseplants in a big way, I love all these interesting things, we hope you do too ππΏ
OFFER 20% Off Rootball Laurels. Rootballed Laurels are field grown and always more substantial than container grown plants, but time is running out to plant them this season. We have a lot of great plants, the majority are Prunus laurorcerasus 'Caucasica' which I believe to be a superior cultivar to the more common P. Rotundifolia - more vigorous, darker green, narrower leaves.
To save us from potting these plants up(!) we are offering a 20% discount off plants sold from now ...until April 7th while stocks last

Mothering Sunday this weekend - the container planting has started in earnest.. and there will be lots more plants for the weekend
Our alpine and rockery plants are looking gorgeous. Love these little jewels with a dressing of grit, how about growing in nice clay pots on a step or ledge? And how about using an old broken pot like we have done here? #gardenideas #plantsbedfordshire #newburyfarmplants
The humble Narcissus Tete a Tete - glorious in the spring sunshine
Our nod to last nights Gardeners world/ Bressingham Gardens feature. Well done Mark Hampson, finger on the pulse! #gardenersworld
Lots going on again this week, lots of new stock- shrubs, climbers and roses.. but here are some pictures of our barn, which has lots to tempt, including vegetable seeds from Franchi (interesting varieties which come highly recommended from some of our customers), summer flowering bulbs and some great tinware perfect for some creative planting
