Newhaven Fort Description
An award-winning attraction and a fine example of an English fortification Newhaven Fort is the perfect place for a family day out. Newhaven Fort houses exhibitions and displays that keep visitors enthralled for hours as well as stunning cliff top views. There is also a on-site café, gift shop, under 12's outdoor adventure playground and free parking.
Newhaven Fort is open to the public from 1st March - 31st October. The Fort remains open during the winter for school and group visits.

Another amazing turnout for the Bikers Service of Remembrance this morning. Thanks to all who attended and all those involved in the organisation of this event. Special thanks also to the Right Reverend Richard Jackson, Bishop of Lewes, for conducting the service today and for his support over the past few years.
We will remember them.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who visited and supported Newhaven Fort in 2019.
It truly was a year to remember. In the 75th year after the D-Day landings we celebrated local heroes and national pride. Even our four-legged friends were celebrated at our first ever Fort Dog Day.
... Our 1940's Vintage Day went down a treat and Fort Fright Week was full of tricks. Throughout the year our Talks in the Tearoom gave some fascinating insights into our local history.
With outdoor cinema, art installations, ghost hunts, and a car show there has been so much going on at the Fort. We really cannot wait to see what 2020 brings.
We'll see you in February but keep an eye on our website and social channels for news and information about Newhaven Fort.

What a difference a day makes! Beautiful sunshine here today and we're open as usual. We hope to see lots of you in for the last day of our 2019 season!
Hi folks, for the safety of staff and visitors the Fort has closed for the day. Hopefully this weather will blow over and we will be back tomorrow.
Halloween might be over but there are still scares to be had at Newhaven Fort!
We're open Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 5pm.
If you visit the Eastern Magazine keep an eye out for these fiends - they might be down there too!

Visit Newhaven Fort this half term for some spooktacular fun!
The Eastern Magazine has been converted into the abandoned Seahaven Nuclear Bunker. Visit the cells, medical room and communication centres - but be warned, you might not be alone down there!
... There are also creepy crafts and fiendish quizzes to complete as you visit our exhibitions.
Open 10am - 5pm 7 days a week. Fun for all the family!
