Maintenance work on the platform canopy at Newtown Station today.

Line is now reopened between Welshpool & Shrewsbury.

Services are currently running between Aberystwyth and Welshpool only as the line is flooded between Welshpool and Shrewsbury. There are no bus replacements running at the moment. We will provide updates once we receive further updates.

May Timetable change - absolutely no change at all of times from Newtown Monday to Saturday. On Sundays we have an extra train to Aberystwyth @ 0906 until the 8th September.

Ludlow Spring Festival this weekend Friday 9th to Sunday 11th May - admission tickets available when you buy rail tickets (to Ludlow).

Easter Holidays - our opening times are beneath. The normal scheduled timetable will be in operation all weekend.

Transport for Wales are conducting a "deep clean" of Newtown Station this week as part of their franchise commitment.

The line is closed between Welshpool and Shrewsbury as a road vehicle has hit a bridge. Trains are running between Welshpool and Aberystwyth with bus replacements between Welshpool and Shrewsbury.

On Saturday Buses leave Newtown for Machynlleth @ 0720 0820 1020 1120 1220 1420 1620 1820 1920 2020 2120 & 2220.
There will be an hourly train service to Shrewsbury on Saturday only because of connecting with buses from Machynlleth. Trains depart Newtown for Shrewsbury 0637 0737 0842 0942 1042 1140 1241 1340 1441 1540 1642 1740 1839 1940 & 2044.

Bus replacements Machynlleth to Aberystwyth Saturday 9th March & Sunday 10th March.
