With the hot weather finally here, please make sure your pets are not left in the car. If you are at the practice and this may be a possibility, talk to a member of staff and we will ensure you pet is kept cool and safe within the practice 🐕🐱🐾

It's safe to say that every day is different, we were called and asked to help rescue this Muntjac deer which was stuck in a fence and, in turn caused some nasty sores on both of its sides. Tiggywinkles which is based in Aylesbury, was able to take the Muntjac deer, so we drove the deer up for correct and suitable rehabilitation. Good luck little deer 💕

Nurses have a huge role in laboratory work here at Nine mile, but nurses cannot take samples without direction from the veterinary surgeon. We can run a huge range of blood and urine tests here within the practice (which is fantastic), meaning we can get results quicker than if we sent them off to an external laboratory. Here at Nine Mile Veterinary Hospital we can run Haematology, Biochemisty (Liver, Kidneys, Glucose, lipase), Endocrine (Thyroid) and Pro BNP tests which is a test that can be used in patients that may suggestive of heart failure.

We are very sad to say that Rob will be leaving us next month, he has a fantastic opportunity to do an internship back where he graduated. We are extremely happy and proud of him, but very sad to see him go. We wish you all the luck for the future Rob 🍀😿❤️

With every anaesthetic or sedation, there is a Veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse involved in the care of your pet. At Nine Mile Veterinary Hospital all anaesthetics are catered to the pets individual needs; including age, medical conditions, breed and surgical procedure, meaning your pet gets gold standard care specifically for them. Nurses have a major role in anaesthesia, ensuring the patient is safe during their procedure, they work closely with the veterinary surgeon to ensure everything is as smooth as possible and the patient is stable.
