My Partner and I had a lovely meal here for our Anniversary. The food was perfect, the atmosphere was perfect and the toilets were spotless. So will certainly visit again. The weather was beautifully warm so we were able to enjoy are meal at one of the outside tables. Which for U.K. Weather is quite unusual. In Port Solent.

I have 2 favourite restaurants and both are Italian. One in Padstow and this one. I love it here. Never a bad meal. Pizzas are gorgeous, helpful staff and lovely location. I would take this over the chain ones every time.

From the moment the door opens there is welcome in terms of a personal greeting as well as a warm atmosphere and the delicious aroma of Italian cuisine.

Excellence is the major characteristic of O Sole Mio; excellent service, excellent food and excellent value.

We're looking forward to our next visit to this first class restaurant.

We had only 45 mins in which to order, wait for our food and then eat because of check in at Southampton airport and a flight to catch... the chef pulled out the stops to get our meal to us quickly and it was wonderful food... highly recommend this place... thank you xx

Another great meal today. Simply the best home cooked food in Port Solent. Support a family owned and run business and give the chains a miss. You won’t regret it! Ask about the home made puddings and have the Calzone; it’s huge! Been coming here for at least seven years and it’s always been fantastic. Even travel to come to it now!

Have been several times but was a little disappointed on last Saturday. My daughters birthday so I booked for 7 people, all family. 2 of the guest ordered t bone steak but they said they did not have any. Was surprised as was early on Saturday, lots of time before closed. They asked for ribeye steak they checked and said yes no problem,.. we did have to wait a while before we could get any drinks. Yes they were busy but they had a lot of staff on. Eventually main courses came out by husband said straight away that the steak was rump, not ribeye, and the other one was the same. They did. It to want to complain because all other guests had their main meal and if they sent theirs back, we would all have been eating at different times, which I sure you agree is not good. Apon paying for meal we told them about steak,the manager went to kitchen , came back and said that the bags the steaks were in stated ribeye steak. He said he was sorry. I just think that when you spending that much on celebration you really hope all is good, but. It wasnt that time. At one time we asked one of the waitresses was she ok she looked so miserable, she said long day sorry. All we wanted was maybe a smile. Real shame. We will come back as we know it is not usually like that, but thought give you heads up. I think if it happened on a first visit we would not come back, as others also. Best regards. Sue
