The final results are in!
The 2018 champions are Stumped (JR Hartley) who clung on to win the title by a margin of 282 points in the end.
... The European qualification places to speak were taken up by second to fifth place respectively, PK Blinders (Paul Katz), Publicity XI (Guy Edwards), Broken Wicket (Andrew Mizner) and White's Wanderers (Chris White).
At the opposite end of the table the dreaded wooden spoon will be heading to a Wimbledon postal address as Swingers (Andrew Wingfield) claimed that unwanted bottom place spot.
In the individual player stakes there were some fantastic points tallies racked up. By category the leading scorers were:
Batting - John Walter (575 points) Bowling - Neil Richards (587 points) All Rounder - Kavir Vedd (855 points) Wicket Keeper - Rohit Maini (439 points)
As ever thanks to everyone who took part this season, supporting the club in doing so. We hope to see you all return next season for another crack at the OMTCC Fantasy title.

**Richards through to county final**
It has been brought to our attention that club legend Neil Richards has won through to the County Over Somethings Final with Kent, beating Surrey in the semi-final.
Neil took three wickets in the match and a catch that was reported to go as high in the air as one of Ed Hikmet's lofted drives.
... Well done Neil and best of luck in the final!

Heading into the final weekend of TVL fixtures it looks like unless second placed PK Blinders (Paul Katz) can pull off a selection masterstroke, then it seems the title is surely sewn up now by Stumped (JR Hartley). The latter's lead is a healthy 249 points.
Ducks aplenty this week (6 in total in fact) made it a difficult week for scoring, but a virtuoso innings in his final game for OMT by 1XI skipper Kavir Vedd meant he delivered yet another bucke...t load of points for any managers selecting him. A score of 122 saw Vedd register a massive 168 points this week. Well batted that man.
At the foot of the table the wooden spoon looks like it could be destined for a former winner in Swingers (Andrew Wingfield) as they lie some 254 points adrift. Only a miracle will same Swingers the ignominy of last place.

There's no change at the top this week at Stumped (JR Hartley) clung onto the lead, albeit with the margin being eaten away by chasing PK Blinders (Paul Katz).
In the individual player stakes it was a case of which wicket keeper did you pick? Rohit Maini with his half century and three wickets (136 points) just edged out Tunny Mangat with his equally fluent half century and two stumpings (112 points).
... Over the totality of the season, 1XI skipper Kavir Vedd is leading by example with his hugely impressive 656 points. No wonder 64% of all managers have selected him. Presumably the 36% that haven't have been in something of a comatose state this summer!

Hold the front page! We have a change at the top of the table. Having led for the virtually the entirety of the season PK Blinders (Paul Katz) have been overtaken by Stumped (JR Hartley) after a bumper weekend for the latter.
The huge swing in points difference between the sides was essentially caused by the fact Ollie Marsh (188 points from his 138* vs Harefield) was made team captain for Stumped.
... White's Wanderers (Chris White) also profited from Marsh's run fest, selecting him and the evergreen John Walter (90 points) in their line up.

Out of nowhere we had a surprise high scoring team this week with Bat To The Future (James Worthington) playing the masterstroke of having Barney Close (98 points) as captain.
In the charge for the title PK Blinders (Paul Katz) still lead but the margin is being slowly eaten away. The question is whether they can cling on.

Another week of results are, and we are another week closer to knowing who will take this year's title.
Alay's Allstars (Alay Vora) scored the most points this week, courtesy of the fact they had the week's highest individual scorer Sohan Modi (110 points) in his side scoring double points as captain.
... The league leaders are still PK Blinders (Paul Katz) who hold a slender lead over the chasing pack. History would suggest that with just a handful of weeks of the season left that at this stage only the top 4 or 5 teams could overturn that lead. Either way it promises to be storming finish to the competition.
Meanwhile one team that won't be claiming the top prize is Best School in NW London (Dylan Amin) who prop up the table. The school report reads "could do better".

No better place to play or watch cricket. The envy of many a club.

Exceptional location and facilities shame the ground isn't used more regularly by Middlesex CCC and Hertfordshire CCC for matches.

Biased? Me?

Wish it was there when I lived on the school grounds, though. I am sure I am not the only one who misses Durrants, although the new place does smell much better.

Did I say the cricket facilities here are first-class? Literally.
