A blue whale calf has been found washed up in Japan - the first ever sighting of this species in the country. We'll be keeping a close out for them when we travel there with Silversea Cruises in 2019!

We have fantastic teams of Wildlife Officers on board various cruises with P&O Cruises this year! As well as deck watches, our Wildlife Officers will be delivering a series of informative presentations for passengers.
As we speak, one team are on the Oriana, sailing around the U.K., to Iceland and Greenland, with another team sailing South to Madeira and The Canaries on board the Aurora.
Both teams will be sailing during #ORCAOceanWatch, so keep your eyes peeled for regular ...sightings updates on our Twitter page.

What INCREDIBLE news! We have a team on board a cruise with P&O Cruises, heading to Iceland on board Oriana as we speak - they'll have to keep an eagle eye out for this incredibly rare whale. Hopefully this is a positive sign for a species that has been struggling for many years in the face of countless threats.
