Had to edit my post when I saw some of the early reviews of bad experiences. I am really surprised as our experience was phenomenal. Maybe the staff has changed, maybe management has changed, but I urge people who wrote negative reviews to maybe try it again.... :)

Great food in here tonight but what stood out was an unfortunate moment when we knocked a glass of wine over our own dinner and yet the lovely waitress replaced the dinner with no extra charge despite it being our own mistake. Top class customer service.

Although the pub itself is quite picturesque, the food isn't anything to rave about unfortunately. I had ham, egg and seasonal veg. The ham was actually cold (which it didn't state on the menu... wouldn't of bothered ordering it had I known this). They did heat it up wheb I asked but it didn't taste right after that. Wasnt a great cut of meat either... very fatty and ended uo leaving a lot on the plate. The veg was so over cooked that it just looked soggy and unappealing. Our waitress was very accommodating and was very apologetic and had the my meal taken off the bill. My husband's meal was ok but again it didn't look amazing... very average. Such a shame. Won't be returning.

Thankyou OysterCatcher for ruining Mothers Day! After booking a table of 8, we waited, and waited (with so many other families) for our table we had paid a deposit for! No goodwill gesture, waitress's crying at their station under clear pressure, over booked and under managed! We decided after an hour of waiting and listening to others horror stories that we would have to cut our losses and have ended up at Macdonalds for Mum! Very poor service, we got our deposit back as we left but in all honestly they seemed happier to see people walk out as so unable to manage.

Very disappointing, greedy to take booking and not leave any window between peoples bookings! oystercatcher - vintage inns you have left a lot of disappointed families for Mothers Day!
