Paul Belcher Property Services Of Pangbourne Description

Paul Belcher Property Services of Pangbourne offers an all round service from all aspects of maintenance for your home to finishing the DIY job you ran out of time on. . . We're all busy these days and downtime is becoming an evermore precious commodity, so if it's a coin toss between finishing putting those bookshelves up or taking the car down to the coast with the kids I know where I'd be. . . don't answer that!
I undertake building work, knocking through walls to create a larger living space for instance and i'll paint throughout, floor the new area in wood planks, laminate or ceramic /porcelain tiles then fix new skirting and architrave throughout.
Should you like bespoke book shelves built in an alcove tucked in by the chimney breast or even would like the new Plasma television mounted to the wall securely then call me.
water damaged ceilings replaced /repaired, re coved and finished back to new
flat pack furniture put together (I'm proficient in both B& Q and IKEA speak! )
Outside I'll break that old concrete pathway out and lay slabs to your front door or to a step which I can put in including disabled access if necessary.
I can fence and lay the patio you want, we can go through your plans together and work to the end product that you'll have years of pleasure using as the outside extension of your property.
I've been in the building industry for over 17 years and yes, I have a pretty extensive knowledge and range of ability.
So please don't hesitate to give me a ring, I'll come over and give you free advice and a quote.

Attic boarded out

Mass filled with rubble and then slabbed over an old pond

Doors hung throughout the downstairs of this property plus tiled the porch floor and built an internal wall with the door into the house itself hung in it...if that makes sense!

Worksurface, new sink and hob fitted at Dan and Peb's. Thankfully he had tiles left over from the original tiling job he did, so i could bring them back down to the kitchen worktop.

User

Boarded the canopy in the primary school. Satisfying work...but isn't that what work is meant to be?

Another shot of the snowguard.

User

Snow guards fitted along the gutterline over the flower shop and costa. Not much snow to worry about but old tiles coming off the roof and splashing into your coffee is a bit much!!

A house I painted in a neighbouring village. Farrow and Ball greys. Not the easiest paint to work with but got to say that their colours are really good...but got to say that it isn't the easiest paint to work with...did I just say that again :-)

Dubious ladder arrangement (with consent and encouragement from David the owner) to reattach guttering and snowguard which had partially detached from the house in high winds and was hanging off. Also rummaged about in my boxes of odd bits and bobs and hacksawed down two small screw fixings, put some tiny washers on them, went back up there and repaired a broken window hinge which would have been impossible to replace...clever bugger me !!!

User

The original bathroom door was very short (old cottage) so after a little sawing and hammer work I fitted a larger door.

User

I put this gate and fence together offering a bit of security to the property.

Tiles in a kitchen I did last year. There's something about tiling that i find both therapeutic and rewarding. A bit like I feel when I'm working with wood.

Days like this I can't imagine doing anything better. Sun's out, air is crisp and got a podcast playing. Anybody who knows me will know that said podcast is about one of two topics!
Not posted for ages, been a busy year so far and any down time is spent riding my motorsickle or attempting to get fit.
Hope you all had a great summer, will post some stuff up later.
... Right, back up the ladder it is!

Finished painting this property last week. A pleasure working on these older places. it could be 1952 here... no phones or netflix. Can you imagine !!

Finishing touches to a house I've been painting. Dulux Weathershield (oil based) high gloss. Note trusty milk crate hop up by garage door. I love that thing, had it years and it beats the aluminium folding things I've brought over the years by a mile. PS this photo is twenty minutes old and I'm now in fact sat in my van because it's pouring down!

Todays project (well, over a couple of days actually what with drying times) is to rub down, fill, undercoat and eggshell x 2 the tower door. First proper Spring day too. Nice :-)

User

Bit precarious last week. That high level painting malarkey definitely makes the day go with a zing! As Camden said when i was going up there in high winds, "Tighten your sphincter Dad" ... and he was right :-)

User

Access is a bit dodgey but the view from the office is worth it !
