After a cold night, we awoke on Sunday morning to sunshine and bright blue skies! Although the temperature was still on the chilly side, it looked like it was going to be the nice dry day that had been forecast.
Rob prepped the Zed and started to change the tyres whilst Trevor checked over the Triumph before Rob headed out for his first race of the morning in the F750. Starting the race 2nd on the grid, Rob went backwards off the start again but made his way back through the... field before the second corner. An incredibly quick, scrappy race for Rob led to a 3rd overall and 1st in class!!
Not long to do the swap over, Rob headed back and finished changing the tyres before jumping on the Zed and making his way out for the first Superbike Race of the day. With the sun shining, Rob had an incredible start and was quickly in the lead. Setting faster times with each lap, Rob continued to push, finishing 1st overall and 1st in class!!
With just enough time to head back and refuel, Rob headed straight back out on the Zed for the last ACU Post Classic race of the year. Rob had another incredible start from 15th on the grid and was with the lead pack from the start. A very quick race for everyone, with positions constantly swapping and changing, Rob scrapped and pushed before finishing 6th overall and 2nd unsupported rider!!
A bit of a break for lunch then before our Race of the Year races on the Triumph and the Zed. Out on the Triumph in the F750 first and Rob was swamped yet again off the start! He fought hard to make his way back through the field and after a few false neutrals he settled for 5th overall and 2nd in the Race of the Year for the F750 class!
Out then in our last race of the weekend for the Superbike 2 Race of the Year. Rob had an unbelievably good start and was leading for the majority of the race before being passed towards the end of the race and losing out on the win, but still finishing in 2nd overall and 2nd in the Race of the Year for the Superbike 2 class!
An absolutely incredible end to a great seasons racing with some fantastic results, both this weekend and over the season. We finish this season with a 1st in the Superbike 2 Championship, a 3rd in the ACU Post Classic Championship and a 5th in the F750 Championship! Really couldn't be prouder of everything Rob has done and achieved! We look forward now to the Dinner Dance in December to pick up Rob's trophies before a Winter spent prepping for the 2019 season!!

After a very early night and a restless nights sleep, we awoke early on Saturday morning to a very cold, blustery day with the heavy rain that has been forecast for today, already beating down hard.
Rob checked over the Zed and prepped the bike before changing the tyres ready for Timed Practice mid morning before getting the Triumph warmed up with Trevor. With a long delay due to oil on the track, Rob's qualifying session on the Triumph was called down to the holding area be...fore another delay left us waiting around in the rain. Finally heading out on a very wet and oily track, Rob had a very steady session also scrubbing in the front tyre, qualifying in 5th for the race this afternoon.
Out then on the Zed, the rain continued to pour down and more and more standing water was accumulating all around the track. With absolutely no grip for the whole session, Rob had a few slides and just took it easy to bring the bike and himself back in one piece and qualifying in 11th.
With the track conditions continuing to worsen, Rob headed out on track for the ACU Post Classic qualifying session. Aquaplaning and sliding around throughout the session, Rob just took is easy to get a position for tomorrow's race, qualifying in 14th for the ACU Post Classic race tomorrow.
A break for lunch and a chance to dry off as we watched the rain continue to get heavier, before Rob's first race of the weekend with the F750 on the Triumph. After going backwards and being swamped off the start, Rob had a very quick ride in the wet, quickly finding himself in 3rd and chasing down second place!! Setting the second quickest lap of the race, Rob was right up behind second place but didn't have as much drive on the start/finish straight, but still had an incredible ride finishing in 3rd overall and 2nd in class!
Rob was then out on the Zed in the first Superbike Race of the weekend. The rain had finally stopped but the track was still wet as Rob headed out. Starting fairly far down the grid, Rob had a good start and a very quick race, pushing through the field to finish 4th overall and 2nd in class!!
After an incredibly wet day racing on a very slippy, wet track, it was time to get fully warm and dry before heading down to the Prize Giving to pick up Rob's 2nd place trophy in the F750 and 2nd place trophy in Superbike 2. Think it will then be an early night for us before our very early start in the morning. A busier day with five races overall but with a dry forecast, we look forward to tomorrow's racing!!

Update from Rob' s second day at Mallory, 3 wins on the Zed and 3rd in ACU race, 2 seconds and a third in F750 on the triumph!
We awoke Sunday to another grey morning and a damp track after a night of rain, but with the sun desperately trying to break through the clouds and start drying up the track.
Out on the Triumph first, Rob and Trevor got the bike warmed up before Rob headed out for the first F750 race of the day. After a decent start, Rob got boxed in on the first cor...ner whilst scrapping, leading him to slow and allow several bikes to swamp him. Pushing a little to catch up ground, Rob pulled himself back up to 5th overall and 2nd in class, whilst also setting the quickest times of the F750 race.
With only a couple of races before he was out on the Zed, Rob swapped bikes and headed back down for the Superbike race. After an incredible start, Rob had a real good, fast, scrappy race, finishing 1st overall and 1st in class!!
With just enough of a gap until he was back out on the Zed for the ACU Post Classic race, Rob changed the rear tyre, and refuelled before repairing a little issue with the exhaust bracket and heading back out on track. A great start and a bit of a scrap before putting in his fastest times of the weekend so far, putting him in a strong 3rd overall and leading to a podium presentation after the race!!
A bit of gap now with lunch before the next F750 race but with the Superbike race almost straight after, Rob and Trevor got the bikes prepped, checked and ready for the next races.
With the F750 first, Rob jumped on the Triumph and headed out. After a couple of mistakes early on, he then had a gentle race, finishing 7th overall and 3rd in class.
Then straight out on the Zed in the last Superbike race of the weekend. After a great start, Rob had another very quick, consistent and scrappy race, swapping the lead throughout but finally finishing 2nd overall and 1st in class!
A little gap now until the last F750 race of the weekend on the Triumph. Trevor checked over the bike before Rob headed out on track for the last time this weekend. Rob had a great scrap at the front of the F750 class, setting his fastest lap of the weekend on the Triumph but just losing the lead on the last corner of the race after a back end slide and a false neutral, finishing the race 5th overall and 2nd in class.
Overall, an absolutely incredible weekends racing for us with some truly fantastic results! I really couldn't be prouder of my amazing partner Rob!!
Massive thanks to Trevor for giving Rob the opportunity to race the Triumph, it has been an absolute pleasure. And also a huge thank you to Ian for continuing to supply the Zed and the van. And so, it's only a few weeks to go now til the last meeting of the season with our Race of the Year meeting at Cadwell Park, bring it on!!

We awoke early on Saturday to grey skies and a cold breeze but a dry track. Rob was out on the Zed for Superbike qualifying first and had a steady session putting him in 2nd on grid for the first Superbike Race.
The heavens opened and soaked the track before calming to a steady drizzle just before Rob headed out on the Triumph for F750 qualifying. With a damp track and the bike to run in, Rob took it easy during the session, putting in consistent laps throughout and putting ...him in Pole Position for the first F750 race of the weekend.
A bit of a gap with lunch, giving Rob time to do a tyre change before heading out on track for the ACU Post Classic qualifying session. Rob had a fairly quick session before the back end started to slip and he pulled in towards the end of the session but also putting him in 3rd on the grid for tomorrow's ACU Post Classic race.
With a gap of only one race before Rob was due out on track, he quickly changed the tyres back and refuelled the Zed before heading out for the first Superbike Race of the weekend. Rob had a very quick and consistent race, finishing 2nd overall and 2nd in class.
Time now for the first F750 race of the weekend, just as the drizzle started again. Rob had a very steady race, getting quicker as the drizzle stopped and the track dried, finishing 1st overall and 1st in class!! Incredible result for the first time racing the bike!
With just one more race today for us with second Superbike Race of the weekend, Rob headed back out on track. Another quick, comfortable and consistent race for Rob, leading to a 1st overall and 1st in class!!
Time then to head down to the Prize Giving to pick up Rob's 2nd place trophy from the first Superbike Race and his 1st place trophy from the first F750 race today, with a quick beer (and a cider for me) before a fairly early night ready for another early start in the morning.

Went in for a custom dyno set up on my R1. Came out within changed bike. So smooth all through the range now! Cannot recommend enough

User

Very pleasant and informative visit, dyno time then adjustments and mods from knowledgeable staff reeped decent rewards for relatively little cash. Cuppa tea came in handy as well.

I would recommend these guys they do seem to know there stuff.

User

Very friendly bunch, had issue with ordering on website but was resolved very quickly and my parts have turned up in record time, very happy would use again

User

Took my ZX10R in for a dyno run and PC3 map. Sorted my plug and coil issue. Bike running sweet as a nut thanks to these boys. I will definitely use again

User

PDQ installed a couple of Mikuni HSR42 carburettors, air box removal kit and radiator removal kit on my triumph scrambler and did a great job, even dealing with all the issues that come with installing aftermarket components, mainly tuning the carburettors and dealing with a petrol overflow a couple of months after the installation service. Great customer service, Larry from PDQ really went above and beyond in order to resolve the overflow issue and ensure the carburettors were working properly. In the end their dyno showed an increase of 10 extra horsepower and plenty of torque as well.

User

Ordered a brake light switch on Thursday at about 3.30pm, it was on my doormat by 10am Friday. Very impressed, and it meant I got my bike back for the weekend. Thanks guys :)

User

Larry runs a first rate operation and PDQ is one of the few suppliers that has never let me down with an order

User

Just had two new tyres & front brake pads fitted after dumping the bike on Larry & the guy's at PDQ after having to get recovered off the M40 because a rear puncture. I've been using PDQ for nearly 10 years now & their service is second to none! These guy's really know their stuff, I have never experienced anywhere near this level of service anywhere else . . . . . Big thanks for sorting me out at no notice at all . . . . .

User

Just had my Hillclimb car powered with a tuned K8 Gsxr 1000 engine mapped by Rob. Great dyno set up for cars and bikes with knowledge and attention to detail to match. After being extremely let down by a local dyno I made a long trip from Guernsey to go to PDQ and wasn't disappointed. Highly recommend

User

Just got my Aprilia back and must say they have done excellent repair work on it. Well done guys.

User

Having recently bought a ZZR1400 (2007) with no service history, I went to PDQ on recommendation from friends. A full 'shim' service, dyno run, fork rebuild & tuning, new (proper) tyres, chain and sprocks, transformed the bike entirely.

I am still stuck with a silly grin on my face after the ride home. Larry just got one more very happy customer. I cannot recommend these people enough.

User

Had my last 3 bikes set up by Nick on the PDQ dyno and they always feel fantastic afterwards. My current GSX-R 1000 K6 feels much crisper and more responsive than a friends with almost exactly the same mod's. He's going to make a booking soon! *****
