Pendle Community Radio presented another great 'Quaid-e-Azam' Special radio show on Tuesday 25th December 2018 LIVE from the Awaz 103.1FM Studios.
Samina Hussain presented the show and a number of respected guests attended to take part and share their thoughts about the great man, who's vision and leadership led to independence and the creation of the 'Islamic Republic of Pakistan' on 14th August 1947.
... The 4 hour radio show started with the tilawat of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Hamaad Hussain Ahmed who then read 2 naats in praise of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace & Blessings Be Upon Him & His Family) and finished by reading a beautiful poem about Quaid-e-Azam.
Next to join presenter Samina Hussain was Jovairia Talib & Rimla Talib. The 2 sisters are regulars on Pendle Community Radio and they also participated in the show to share their thoughts about Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as well as reading poetry.
The main guest was respected writer, author & poet, Shabeena Khan from Manchester. Author of the book titled, Life After Iqbal', Shabeena Khan was a fantastic guest who spoke so well and had a great discussion with presenter Samina Hussain about Quaid-e-Azam & Pakistan.

Pendle Community Radio - Awaz 103.1FM have organised a 4 hour special radio show dedicated to the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Tuesday 25th December 2018 from 4pm till 8pm.
This show will be presented by Samina Hussain and special guest, writer & author Sabeena Khan will be participating. You will hear about his life, his work and the sacrifices he made in order to bring independence and mak...e the 'Islamic Republic of Pakistan'.
From 4pm till 5pm, young children have been invited to take part & read poetry as well as share stories with our listeners about Quaid-e-Azam.
The purpose of the show is to remember the great man and great leader of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He was born on 25th December 1876 and died on 11th September 1948.
A great quote by Quaid-e-Azam, "I do not believe in taking the right decision, I take a decision and make it right.” Muhammad Ali Jinnah (Founder of Pakistan - 14th August 1947).

Mehfil-e-Naat at the Awaz 103.1FM Studios

The Pendle Community Team including presenter Zain Shabbir were invited to attend a presentation regarding Safe Driving at the Burnley Mechanics Theatre on Thursday 22nd November 2018.
It was an amazing & touching presentation with those involved sharing their personal & emotional real life stories & experiences in order to help others be more aware & safer on the roads.
We all have a responsibility to ensure road safety for ourselves & for others. Careless or competitive d...riving, speeding, drink driving all can lead to death or serious injury. It only takes a second or a wrong manoeuvre for your actions to lead to serious consequences. Listening to some of the stories by the emergency services who have to attend the scenes of accidents as well as liase with families & family members who have lost loved ones in road traffic accidents was truly emotional for all in attendance.
We should commend & appreciate the excellent work of our emergency services whether it be the Police, Ambulance Service, Fire Service or the NHS. We are proud to have such amazing people keeping us safe on the roads & when an accident occurs they show courage & professionalism in dealing with the situation no matter what the conditions & who is involved.

A great 'Remembrance Day' Special with presenter Faz Patel MBE LIVE from the Pendle Community Radio Studios on Sunday 11th November 2018, remembering & paying respect to the thousands of fallen soldiers who fought during World War One.
Faz Patel MBE who is also an advisor to the Duke of Lancaster Regiment wanted to commemorate and remember all the brave soldiers who sacrificed everything for our freedom today.
As Lord Richards the former Chief of the Defence Staff, Lord Ashdo...wn, Sadiq Khan (Mayor of London) and many others said in a recent open letter: "The armies of the 1914-18 looked more like the Britain of 2018 than the rest of the country did at that time. British troops fought alongside soldiers of different colours and creeds from across the Commonwealth, including over a million Indian soliders, 400,000 of them Muslims from present-day Pakistan. Yet few know that thousands of Muslim soliders fought for Britain - including soldiers like Khudadad Khan, awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery in 1914. This shared history of service is something we can all commemorate in Britain, whatever our ethnicity or faith."

Alhamdulillah, once again, an absolutely amazing 'Istiqbal e Rabi-ul-Awwal Mehfil' was organised by the Pendle Community Radio team and held on Friday 2nd November 2018 at the Awaz 103.1FM Studios...
The Pendle Community Radio team would like to thank all the scholars, naat khawans & distinguished guests for making this another great 'Istiqbal e Rabi-ul-Awwal Mehfil' where we welcomed the the commencement of the blessed month of Ra...bi-ul-Awwal in which the greatest of greatest, our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace & Blessings Be Upon Him & His Family) was born and sent as a Mercy for all Mankind.
The mehfil commenced with the beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran. An amazing lineup of very talented naat khawans participated in the mehfil which included, Hafiz Nasir Khan (Burnley), Ismail Hussain (Bradford), Shahbaz Hassan Qadri (Ashton), Hashmat Khan (Blackburn), Hafiz Ahsan Amin (Blackburn), Zain Shabbir (Accrington), Zaheer Iqbal (Accrington), Haji Nazir Ahmed (Nelson), Ishtiaq Chishti (Nelson), Hafiz Hamaad Hussain Ahmed (Nelson) and many more local naat khawans.
Respected scholar, Allama Mohammad Arshad Mishabi Sahib (Manchester) delivered a speech on the importance of Rabi-ul-Awwal and how this blessed month should be celebrated.
