SHARED POST FROM DOG LOST.
Loki a Weimaraner and Pippin a Daschund went missing from Kineton on the Warwickshire/Oxfordshire border on 17 April 2019 their family really have done everything to try and find them and bring them home.
They have had massive coverage across the country but sadly no one has come forward. Both Loki and Pippin are chipped and we are now appealing to the veterinary profession to just be aware of their case.
... While we know that they were stolen a long way away they could be anywhere by now and they may no longer be together so our only hope now lies with someone scanning them. Both Pippin and Loki are registered as stolen with Warwickshire Police under crime no CRN 23/18151/19 Loki and Pippin - so please if you have any information or come across anything please contact the police and quote the above reference.
Loki and Pippin have a Facebook page so please feel free to join to help share their story https://www.facebook.com/groups/284730365 799917/

MASSIVE WELL DONE TO OUR 3 GIRLS who on Saturday completed their 26 mile hike from Brighton to Eastbourne in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. They battled all weathers, rain, hail, wind and sunshine and supported each other every step of the way. They did absolutely fantastic. We would like to say a special thank you to all your support and generous donations received from our wonderful clients. Our girls have been greatly moved by so much support from you all. Thankyou.

BEWARE! the Grass Seed Season is here.
Little Stanley Newmarch visited us recently with a sore paw and a sore ear. On closer examination it was discovered that he had broken a claw, which needed removing. Once removed, his claw would regrow and heal in time. It was also discovered that Stanley had a grass seed in his ear. These Grass seeds can be a real problem, getting stuck in your pets fur, ears, nose and paws. They can be a variety of sizes and have the potential to caus...e real pain to your dog. The seeds have pointy ends and are very sharp so they easily become trapped in a dog's fur and can burrow down into the coat to pierce the skin. We recommend you check your pets paws and coats following walks and remove any seeds that can be seen. If left, grass seeds can go under the skin and travel to other areas of the body causing infections and problems. In Stanley's case, he needed to be admitted and sedated in order for his grass seed to be removed. In more complex cases, surgery may be required to locate and remove the problem grass seed. We expect Stanley to make a full recovery, and to soon to be less uncomfortable now that his broken claw and problem grass seed have been removed.

Tomorrow is the day - PetCare's Macmillan Mighty 26 mile Hike
Many of our lovely clients will know Abbey's story …….. In 2017 she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 40. That’s where her rollercoaster journey began. Her treatment consisted of a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. As a busy mum to three small children and a qualified vet nurse she was determined to stay strong. The treatment was tough but didn’t beat her and she even managed to come to work... most days (usually with a different colour head scarf every day!) In July last year just three months after the end of her radiotherapy she completed the south coast mighty hike in aid of Macmillan. 26 miles from Brighton to Eastbourne via the seven sisters !!. This year she has convinced her super supportive Petcare family to join her. Tomorrow she will be embracing life with Hannah, and Felicity. It will be a challenge but fund raising for a charity that’s close to her heart will make the blisters worthwhile ! Any donations made in support of them and such a fantastic charity would be very much appreciated.
Abbey is a very strong, determined and dedicated lady and every day we are proud to work along side her at PetCare.
You can help Abbey Waygood raise money for this great cause by donating directly to their fundraising page -
https://www.justgiving.com/Abbey-Waygood1 …
JustGiving sends your donation straight to Macmillan Cancer Support and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.
Thank you for your support!
