If you are planning on seeing 'Lend Me A Tenor' this week then please be aware that roadworks started on Monday evening, June 11, that are affecting travel into Shaw.
Road closures, diversions and temporary traffic lights are in place from 7.00pm to 2.00am around the Big Lamp roundabout just outside Shaw town centre. Road closures and diversions start to be put in place around 6.30pm and are causing delays, particularly to those travelling from the South and East.
Please allow some extra time for travelling if you are coming to the show.

It’s #volunteersweek and without volunteers Playhouse 2 wouldn’t be entertaining the people of Oldham and beyond, so a big thanks goes to everyone who dedicates their spare time to our theatre 👏🎭.
Here’s a 📸 of Barbara and Liz who’ve been working on props for Lend Me A Tenor, which starts tonight! If you’d like to join the Playhouse 2 team, visit www.playhouse2.org/getinvolved

Lived in Shaw nearly 5 years and only just visited this Theatre once last week. I haves missed out on a lot of good entertainment we will definitely visit more often.

User

It's a great little theatre; lovely atmosphere and helpful staff. The bars a bit small, limited seating.

User

Improbable Fiction - Lunacy from start to finish - loved it!

User

I've lived in Shaw for 20 years and I'm ashamed to say that this was my 1st visit to the Playhouse. But it certainly won't be my last. Cracking intimate venue. We saw The Jar Family who was superb too. Already looking forward to going to the playhouse again soon.

User

I would just like to say what an enjoyable night we had on Saturday 29 October listening to the fantastic Greater Manchester Police Male Voice Choir and the Greater Manchester Police Jazz Ensemble a big hit with everyone I spoke to. Thank You x

User

I love this theatre, very friendly, great location, great bar, great people

User

I am biased about Playhouse 2 as I am one of the many volunteers, but this is a great place to visit. Friendly, helpful people. Lots of variety to watch and great value. I'm not involved in this production so was able to sit in the audience and watch Bothered & Bewildered. This play about a serious illness, Alzheimer's, was poignant but also very funny. Well done everyone involved.

User

First time for me and my mum at this theatre....it was absolutely brilliant...from walking in to the Smiley staff...the large bar area. The seats are great...all tiered...so no matter where your seat is...you get a wonderful view and it's easy to hear all dialogue...the play.. ladies down under ..was fantastic...a touch of sadness and plenty of belly laughter ...the actors/actresses were very good and brought much enjoyment to all the theatre goers....well done to all including the stage staff who did quick turn arounds....can't wait to go again...but next time I'm leaving my car at home ...to sample the reasonably priced bar xx

User
