When i go every Monday the food is always very good and always hot, never had to complain yet as for the staff they are excellent and always check that everything is ok with the meal. Never go anywhere else for a meal.

This pub is amazing you will not believe the quality of the food for the prices it's the best food for the best price. Wouldn't go anywhere else to eat with the family now. Staff are so friendly and fun. Saturday night entertainment is always the best and the kids love it too. Definitely recommend people to come here

Had a lovely meal there today. Couldn't fault the service or food -thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Staff were polite and helpful and very good interacting with our children. Recommend the Apple crumble sundae - custard, Apple crumble, ice cream and whipped cream - what's not to like?!

Went to watch a band on a Saturday night and it is a great venue for live music with a great atmosphere .Had to feel for the 2 Bar staff who struggled to cope with the amount of people needing serving ,bad management ,they could have sold loads more if they had additional bar staff on hand.Would definitely go back .

We come to your quiz every week with the highlight being that it coincided with curry night. The quiz team always had either chicken balti or peshwari. With this in mind I am sure you can imagine our disappointment that those are the 2 curries that have been taken off the menu :(.

Please pass on to your management our disappointment and consider bringing back at least one of them please.

Also would like to say your waitress Lydia is always happy and cheerful making sure we have everything we need for our meals.

Visited this weekend and had a roast dinner. It was okay but I don't think any of it was homemade. It was all so soft and squishy that I could have fed it to my nan who can only eat blended food and had no taste, it was really watery. Basically a cheaper version of Aunt Betty's for the potatoes and yorkshire with frozen veg and all over cooked. The meat was tastless too. It only cost £5.80 so I wasn't expecting anything too fancy but still, no effort had been our into it and it looked nothing like the menu. The offer of adding a desert for £2 doesn't include most of the menu despite the small print only naming 2 that weren't a part of the deal although the shake and cake dessert I went for (not part of the deal) was lovely. The actual pub is really nicely decorated and the menu has alot on it but this is pointless if none of it is cooked properly.

Used to love coming here every week for dinner.... been twice over the last month and food has been awful :( stone cold, smaller portions, half the meal came out later and even had a lovely little hair on the chicken. Shame it’s gone so downhill won’t be trying again. Only plus is the bar staff are normally polite!

Second time we have ever eaten here, first time wasn’t fantastic but thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt 2 years later... even more disappointed than the first time.

Firstly my order was incorrect, excused by the fact that the chef had ‘read the ticket wrong’ so not an ordering error and that the ‘chef was new’. It came out for the second time the fried mushrooms and grilled tomato had hardly seen the heat, so still cold and uncooked, and the fried onion I’m sure were just mixed into the mushrooms raw. I’m not normally one to complain, but after saying to the lovely lad who waited on us and couldn’t apologise enough, that the steak was well cooked and not the medium rare I ordered as well as the raw toppings/sides, no one returned to the table to apologise or offer any sort of refund or courtesy compensation of any sort...

no fault to the bar staff or waiters, but the chef and management may need retraining.

Waited so long for our food, on our table people were finishing there food as others were still waiting. When my 'rare' steak came it was cremated and chips were cold and also wasn't complete (food items missing) No one came to do a food check and see how our food was and we waited so long for our food, when it finally came I just ate what I could as I was really hungry. When the waitress came to collect the plates and I politely told her I wasn't happy (as my full plate proved) I was met with a half arsed "well I'm sorry but if you'd had said I would have changed it" when I said I'd already waited long enough the first time she didn't seem to care at all. My first experience here and was not at all impressed with the service or food at all. Will not be returning and will inform others not to bother either.

The food was absolutely awful! I turned my bowl of curry upside down and it didn't budge, extremely dry with zero sauce, poppadum had to be pulled apart rather than snapped (ultra bendy), Mac and cheese pasta was congealed and undercooked as well. Let's not even discuss the salad. I don't normally complain but after waiting 45minutes to be greeted with that... safe to say I wouldn't eat there again and strongly advise anyone to think twice before going there.

Shit pub no changing facilities for my week old baby, had to change her on a table!! Kitchen is constantly closed and the pub is grubby!!!!

User

Ordered steak well done, came out medium rare. Hardly any fries and it was luke warm. £9.70. RIP off. The fries were greasy on my meal and my sons. Dirty and grubby. Not the best atmosphere to be honest

Only gave one star as I couldn't write anything without a star. I'd heard this was a reasonable priced place to eat with good food. Admittedly they had limited staff and a condensed menu but even so the food was not good. Took the meat home for my dogs and even they struggled to eat it. Make up your own minds after you've been, they may have a chef there by that time but I certainly won't be returning. Bar staff were nice though.

User

I visited you restaurant a few months ago with my family and ordered the tandoori chicken dish. The chicken wasn't cooked thoroughly so didn't end up eating it, the bloke told us it was because of the sauce it was cooked in making it pink but it definitely wasn't cooked. I then re visited as you had a new menu and my sister wanted to visit. I ordered breaded mushrooms for starter which were fine until I bit into the 3rd one to find out it was a bit of scampi in with my mushrooms. It was disgusting! My partners starter then came our wrong. Definitely won't be back as the staff weren't very good either!

Had no chef only a person from bar in kitchen very reduced menu with hardly anything to choose from and food was burnt!

Disapointed with this venue last night. Arrived a little before nine asked the bar if ok to still order food. Was told yes if your quick. Daughter and her partner ordered desert only. Hubby right behind them ordered food was told kitchen is closed even though it wasn't quite 9. Asked to cancel desert was told can't get a refund. Cheesecake was still frozen. Overall pretty Un interested staff. Appreciate it was 9. But it is a Saturday night. We only moved to area recently and the menu pre closure looked good so we're keen to try. Menu now pretty much what you get anywhere. Won't be rushing back.
