Where to start? The most incredible, amazing experience. I just didn’t want it to end. My Son had his 13th birthday here and we stayed in one of the Hog Deer Cabins and it was fantastic. Dinner in the Mansion House was a 5*. Our Rangers couldn’t have been more helpful and informative. The passion was obvious from the start. I will be going on line to try and book the Tiger Lodge. Cannot wait to come back. Thankyou ❤️

User

What an amazing 40th birthday weekend Iv had. Arrived Friday, fed the monkeys, stayed at pinewoods, walked around the zoo and gardens after closing time, had a drink in the Manor House, had a BBQ and cooked marshmallows around the camp fire whilst swinging in the hammock. Went to bed in our lovely pod at pinewoods -listening to the Tigers. Then on Saturday went on the safari and walked around looking at all the animals. It's been amazing. Lots of places to eat and drink. The staff were all amazing too. Thank you for the best birthday X

User

We were given the most amazing opportunity to stay in your pinewood shepherds hut for 3 nights courtesy of my kids grandparents. I’m a single parent of 2 boys and was stressing about my first solo break with them especially as I had a long journey there and back. The customer service was exceptional we had some teething problems at check in and on our first morning which were resolved immediately. Staff at guest services and check in sorted out our eating requirements which gets booked up very quickly. My boys loved the food, staff and atmosphere at bear lodge so we ate there each evening. 2 days we spent at port lympne exploring and using the safari truck we saw different animals and views each day and before departing for home on our last day we spent a few hours at howletts to complete our animal safari experience. It’s been a break to remember staff and accommodation meant I instantly unwound and enjoyed a break I never realised I needed, would highly recommend to all. We’ll come back as a day visitor again - personal highlights include the elephants, gorillas, Pallas and fishing cats, African painted dogs, lemur walkthrough, wolves and the white wallaby. Shepherds hut v clean and plenty of storage and space. The bunks were brilliant my eldest wanted space from his brother and with the divide he got it!

User

We stayed in the pinewood pods then the giraffe lodge to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was an incredible experience. The view from giraffe lodge is breath taking. Such a privilege to be so close to the animals. We were really impressed with how the animals are respected and loved. All the staff were fantastic. Special thanks to Sarah, Dan, Clive and Jack. The food at giraffe lodge was excellent too. Would highly recommend.

User

We married at the hotel on the 26th July, stayed in the Tiger lodge and took our wedding guests on safari. Everything was fabulous and my guests said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. The park is beautiful, the safari is like driving through Kenya and I have been Kenya! The tiger lodge was an unbelievable experience, waking up drinking our morning coffee with a tiger on the other side of the glass. We will be back every year for sure to celebrate our anniversary

User

We have just stayed at Giraffe Lodge, it was fantastic from start to finish. It really is the next best thing but in the UK!!

Our Ranger Jack was very knowledgeable, experienced and was happy to answer any questions. Our Safari to the lodge was incredible you were able to get so close to all the different animals and Jack made sure that we stopped and had enough time with each one.

The accommodation itself was fantastic, the view was amazing you could easily sit on the balcony all evening and watch the animals and take in the Kent Savannah. We had a four poster bed with an en suit all very clean and comfortable.

The food was great too, I have a nut allergy and I was very well catered for, the chef even cooking me a separate dessert. The breakfast in the morning was delicious too with more than enough food to feed everyone.

In the morning we got to go and hand feed the giraffe. We were very lucky to do this with both the females being pregnant. It was such a privilege to be able to be so close to such a wonderful animal!! ÔøΩ

User

Two night stay in the Treehouse Hotel and Primate Zoo Keeper experience. Early bday surprise from my mum and I have been totally blown away by the whole experience. Accommodation is top notch with first class service in the club house. The primate keepers were amazing and made for a unique and rewarding day for me helping to look after the primates at the park. Considering I had never heard of the park before I arrived, I would 100% recommend it as a place to visit /stay - great that is not so commercialised as a lot of other zoos have become. Safari experience virtually on your own doorstep!

User

This place is absolutely incredible! We booked a 2 night stay in one of their treehouses and certainly were not disappointed! On arrival we had welcome drinks and toasted marshmallows in the clubhouse before checking out our treehouse. Inside, the place was exceptionally clean and had all the essentials, the view of the rhino and cheetah paddock from our balcony was probably my favourite part of the trip, waking up to see our rhino neighbours was incredible. On the first night we had dinner at Babydolls restaurant and choose to sat outside, the food was amazing but what made the dinner brilliant was hearing the sounds of the lions whose enclosure was next door to us. The safari park itself, allows you to get up close to the animals and the truck of the African experience was very informative. The animals are clearly well looked after and have lots of space to roam around. The parts of the park where you walk around are very hilly however due to our accommodation we were provided with a golf buggy which made it much easier to get around and was probably my partners favourite part of the trip! The rangers also do schedule animal feeds and talks throughout the day which are well worth attending. Even though the park was fairly busy in the day, it was great to have after hours access to see the animals. Since our visit, I have adopted Ruaha the Rhino and we are hoping to return to the Forest Hideaway accommodation in the summer! An incredible mini break!

User

Superb! We just returned from a night in Giraffe Lodge and loved it. Our ranger, Will, was superb both on the safaris and chatting to our group in the Lodge. We all learned so much and had a fabulous time, he clearly loves the animals and is knowledgeable beyond words. The animals are beautiful, we saw everything in the park; feeding the giraffes, seeing the gorgeous baby gorilla and baby rhinos were a highlight. The park is well set up, well looked after and the staff were great! The scatter feeds are a must, you see the animals up close and hear lots of interesting facts and stories.

The only small criticism I have is the Basecamp Cafe near Guest Services. It didn’t match the service and atmosphere of the rest of the park. Cleanliness and efficiency need to be addressed.

A huge thank you to everyone at Port Lympne, our ranger Will and all the staff in the Giraffe Lodge.

We will definitely be back and have recommended it to all our friends and family!

User

My partner and I stayed at giraffe lodge at the weekend.... amazing experience, safaris were spot on thanks to our ranger David and driver Clive .... food was fabulous the french chef was fantastic and everyone well catered for, our tent over looked the watering hole with breathtaking views... feeding the giraffes incredible, would highly recommend this stay x

User

My husband, 3 year old and I just stayed in Wolf Lodge for the night. Having been married here 4 years ago, we keep coming back to try the new accommodation. Wolf Lodge is beautifully decorated for a very comfortable stay. And the wolves are right in the back garden! As always with Port Lympne the interior designers have done an amazing job with fantastic attention to detail. The provision of a golf buggy for getting around the hills, (especially with a toddler) and use of the park into the night when it's quieter is genius. I highly recommended this place to anyone.

User

My best friend and I have just come back after a one night stay at the hotel. We had an amazing night on Friday doing the evening safari. What a fantastic experience and we learnt so much as well as getting up close and personal with a giraffe and a camel! Also on the Saturday we went on a gorilla encounter with truly was a fantastic experience. Getting to learn about the gorillas from their keepers and getting so close to them and feeding them. It’s something I will never forget and we are hoping to come back next year! Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!

User

It was fun, it was exciting. The free Safari Bus Tour was cool. You get taken by the guide to see half of the park and the free-roaming animals (except the smart camels who hid as soon as they hear the engine approaching and stuck their necks out to check now and again to see when we were going to leave). The other half were caged animals. I have to say my heart sank when I saw them but it is obvious why as they were the monkeys, cats, wolves...etc. We saw more of them when we went around the park for the second time at dusk. Probably it was too hot for them during summer afternoon. Restaurant was a nice place to grab a pizza after the walk and enjoy the whispering of the nearby resident animals. Giraffe Lodge looks fab (up on the hill facing down onto the ‘safari’) but Tiger Lodge looks rather creepy. It felt like they were really ‘earning their keep’. In fact they all are, it’s just that it is more prominent when these hosts (animals) are entertaining their guests overnight whereas the others only work during the park’s opening hours. Maybe it’s just a visual illusion that there is more space behind a fence than a cage. When I see the endless landscape in the surrounding area I kind of wish they will be gifted with more land. One thing I am sure is that the staff there do love their animals, spending time working and talking passionate about them. Take it slow, don’t over-agitate the animals in their own ‘home’ and it shall be a good place to spent a day.

User

Had an overnight stay in the Tiger Lodge yesterday. What a stunning lodge and right on the enclosure. The Lodge had its own private entrance and terrace. The views across Kent and the Channel were spectacular. The tigers were fed when we arrived and food placed in front of our living room window so we had the perfect view and were able to take lots of photos. We had our own golf buggy which was great fun and also took the strain off our legs as the park is very hilly. We had drinks in the evening at the complimentary bar and went on for pizza and wine at Babydolls which was very nice. (Pity the brownies were off the menu). Breakfast in the morning was at the cafe close to Tiger Lodge. It was ok. My husband said the sausages weren’t of great quality and the bacon in my sandwich wasn’t cooked to order so not hot, so that’s something that could be improved. It’s great that you can go about the park when it’s closed to the public and convenient for the safari first thing as you can avoid the queues later on. Only thing I would say on the safari, is that the driver could stop just for 30 seconds to allow people to take better photos. The only thing I would say is that for the £950 for 1 night stay in the Tiger Lodge they could have at least thrown in breakfast for free as it a very expensive stay. Overall though we absolutely loved it and would definitely do it again.

User

Fantastic day at Port Lympne. My parents and siblings stayed in the pods and they all said what a lovely time they had. Fire pit in the evening. We met at Babydoll’s wood fire pizza restaurant. Every dish was fresh and flavoursome. Staff where informative and top class. Enjoyed the safari round the park and of cause looking at all the animals. Kids loved the dinosaurs too.

User

Everyone of the staff I came across were happy and very helpful. The ranger safari with our driver Chris was fun informative and very up close and personal with the animals. We felt well and truly special from reception, to the club bar. I would thoroughly recommend it to young and old. The tree house was as expected and then some. Would love to go back again and spend longer chilling on the balcony listening to the animal calls.

User

We stayed in the Mansion Hotel for 1 evening. The hotel itself was beautiful it’s just a shame so many members of staff were unpleasant. Whilst having a welcome drink the waitress thought it was appropriate to moan and tell us how busy she has been all day. This made us feel unwelcome and like we were an inconvenience. There was only 1 other table at breakfast but we waited 15 mins for tea, 20 mins for water, and the orange juice never arrived. We ate dinner at Babydolls where there was no prosecco by the glass, no lemonade and no fruit cider. The park itself is huge and I was surprised to see no water stations. This made walking in the heat difficult. We were told we could not hire golf carts as we were not in the right accommodation to have them. I would not recommend this to anyone with walking difficulties.

User

We live in lympne and have visited many times over the years. We are very worried about the situation with the Tigers as the last 3 times we have visited Ingrid has been locked in a small cage. The two new Tigers seem to be free to wander around the large enclosure and this must be very upsetting for Ingrid as it was her territory for many years. She has had to go through losing her partner tugar and now this. The last 3 times I've seen her she has looked so miserable and making distressed noises. We are worried she could become unwell due to this situation. As you charge 1000 pounds a night to stay in tiger lodge you could use some of this money to improve her situation. We emailed you about this several weeks ago but no-one replied.

User

They really need to start reducing the prices of those visiting for the day as it is clearly now steered towards the overnight lodges. The price to get in for the day is alot and so many of the enclosures were empty. I know they always say about the fact that this is due to the animals being hidden and I understand it is not a zoo and they do alot for breeding programmes but the point is so many enclosures were just empty. It is still a business from an outside perspective and should offer more for those visiting during the day :)
