Caught up with Beth 'Beth Foot Forward Challenge' on Sunday. Wishing her every success on her mammoth trek around all our Lifeboat Stations.

It was our huge priviledge to be part of Portsmouth Armistace vigil at our Guildhall cenotaph. The rainfall over midnight made it even more poignant. We Will Remember Them.

Details of yesterday's service,

Both Portsmouth Lifeboats recovered after more than 4 hours afloat. Launched at 7.30pm for training and then tasked approx 9pm to a red flare sighting 2 miles off browndown. After a long search nothing was found and the boats were stood down, returning to station just before midnight.

Training from Hants Fire and Rescue Service tonight about Animal Rescue. We were also joined by these 5 well behaved four legged friends. The crew were fairly well behaved too. #rnli_portsmouth #RNLI #HFRS

Busy day today... Tudor Rowers powered in to drop off a big cheque! Lovely to see the Rowing Cadets enjoying their time on the water. Thankyou from all of us.

Even though the pagers went off at 04.45 this morning Portsmouth Lifeboat Crew runners were ready and waiting on the start line for the Great South Run. Both our boats captured by Channel 5 lending support to the runners. #RNLI #Greatsouthrun #gsr #cityofportsmouth

Both Portsmouth Lifeboats launched early this morning ~4.45am to assist a lady in the water near Clarence pier.

Our crew spend many hours training for all eventualities as well as responding to shouts. Last night's training included how to rescue divers.

Portsmouth ILB Brian's Pride paged this afternoon to reports of a person in the water by Hayling Ferry Pontoon. A lady had fallen from her tender. Picked up by a passing yacht, checked out and transferred to the ILB. The lady was brought back to the Lifeboat station, checked over by an ambulance crew and she was on her way home safe and sound.

Portsmouth Lifeboats at this morning's Seafarers Service at Portsmouth Cathedral and the Saluting platform. The Lifeboats take the wreath for our lost sailors out into the Solent. #RNLI #Portsmouthcitycouncil #LordMayorofPortsmouth
