The first time I have seen beef wellington on the menu since 1995! In those silly 'what would be your last meal request' discussions, I always say without hesitation, "beef wellington"! And this did not disappoint!! Cooked to perfection!! It was a very special occasion why we were out celebrating with friends and the whole experience was spot on! Superb, helpful staff who despite locking the front door nearly an hour before, (we were outside enjoying the sun and had no idea of the time or that it had actually closed!) but never rushed us and still offered us tea and coffee even after we suddenly realised it was now closed! Obviously we didn't take up the offer, but how kind was that?!?! Cannot recommend more highly!!

Such fantastic food, great service and a wonderful, warm and friendly place to be. Just had our anniversary dinner here and will defiantly be returning!! A little gem in the heart of Chichester! If you want a real treat, this is THE place to go!

O.M.G - the food is amazing as are the cocktails! Its good value for money and the service is friendly and efficient. This was our second visit and we shall be going again, and again! I especially recommend the 'Variation of Strawberry' for pud, it was sublime.

My hubby took me here for a birthday and valentines meal the food was amazing and the service and atmosphere was wonderful

Looking for a place for lunch before heading to the theatre for a matinee performance, we chanced upon Purchases. The pretty courtyard sold it - a cool & quiet oasis hidden from the busy shops and burning sunshine. What a great choice - the food was excellent (all 3 courses for both of us) as was the house Rose and the staff were absolutely delightful! This was followed by an amazing production of 'Fiddler on the Roof' with Omid Djalili. A pretty perfect day!!

Just love going here. It is superb, lovely garden and surroundings. Staff cannot do enough for you. Wonderful East Enders cocktail. The food is wonderful, scallops, delicious guinea fowl, dauphinois potatoes and the best red cabbage that I have ever eaten.

Back there in August.

Decided to sit in the courtyard area for the evening . Fab time had by all even though the weather let us down . Comfy seating area and nice lighting, the cosy throws are a nice touch . Great staff, nothing was too much trouble. Suffice to say we will be back! P.S . Need some more photos on your pages the few that are there do not do the place the justice it deserves

Dan and the team made my 50th celebrations fabulous! Venue, food and service were all amazing. 14 of us in the undercover area in the courtyard at the rear of the restaurant, with heaters, seating area, music and fantastic atmosphere. They accommodated everything we could have wanted and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Perfect venue. Thanks all...

A really lovely lunch today celebrating our mums birthday, nothing was too much trouble, the food was amazing and the garden was truly stunning in the sunshine! Thank you to all the team and especially Danny for ensuring we were so well looked after! Can't wait to go back!

Pre theatre supper good value for quality of food

Lovely restaurant, I would recommend the garden on a summers evening. It was a little expensive and small portions, a few more vegetables wouldn’t go a miss, however the food was very nice but the wine was also Expensive.

Lovely staff who work very hard, perhaps a little too short staffed for a Saturday night!

Probably wouldn’t go back as there are many other nice places to explore in Chichester.

Good stylish atmosphere but Eton mess too messy on the eye!
