Raf Falcons

The Royal Air Force are aware of the RAF Falcons display at Lyme Regis, Dorset, not running as planned on Thursday 16 August 2018.
Following disembarkation from a Dornier 228 aircraft at 3500ft, the ten highly trained parachutists experienced an unexpected change of wind conditions at 1000ft. Due to a number of hazards close to the drop zone four of the parachutists elected to land approximately 30ft outside of the planned drop zone in a safe area.
This is a standard operat...ing procedure designed to minimise any risk to both the parachutists and spectators. We can confirm that no injuries were sustained by either the RAF Falcons or the spectators.
Flight Lieutenant David Sellers, Officer Commanding the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team said: “We undergo intense training in order to prepare for these situations, the parachutists responded correctly to the scenario encountered, identifying the prebriefed alternative landing areas to ensure the safety of all parties during the display.”

We seen these guys jump at Buckingham palace and they were brilliant, signing all the kids books afterwards made it even more special for them.. they loved it and my little girl said her best part was you all jump out of the plane x

We saw the guys today at Heveningham country show and my children loved it! Especially my little boy...he couldn't believe that they jumped out of a plane and had to meet them all and get their autograph...normally a confident little boy but he was totally in awe! Every one of them were lovely, and we found out how to pack away a parachute! Will definitely make the most of seeing this again in the future!xx

Watched display today at Warren classic and super car show was great and the team are friendly are great with the kids after. Thanks guys

Been a fan for years, had the pleasure of being an observer on a training flight out of Brize nearly 30 years ago. First time I had flown in an aircraft, stood on ramp at 12,500 feet and watched from above. Totally incredible, see my profile photo.

Amazing display at Lichfield Bower on 30.05.2016. My children and friends thoroughly enjoyed it. You are amazing. My 4 year old twins said 'wow' when they saw you all doing the statue. Go and see these guys they are excellent. ✈☺✈☺
