About Ridgemount Dental Practice

A beautiful smile is priceless. . . We make it affordable!

Ridgemount Dental Practice Description

A local Dental practice who is more affordable.
We have a payment plan from £12. 50 a month

Ridgemount Dental Practice is a family-oriented surgery, which prides itself on its dedication to providing the highest quality treatment to all patients, tailored specifically to their individual needs.

The dental treatment and areas of practice which we offer include both cosmetic and general dentistry. Whilst the practice does not have funding to provide treatment to patients on the NHS, we have taken measures to ensure that dentistry is more affordable.

Dr. Sujit Kumar is an experienced and passionate dentist who, after qualifying from the University of Oslo in Norway in 1999, joined Victoria Road Dental Care in Horley, Surrey. He then proceeded to establish Ridgemount Dental Practice in 2008. Over the last few years, the practice has flourished primarily on the referrals of existing patients, greatly satisfied with the treatment they have received.

Dr. Kumar is not only known to his patients for his transformation of their smiles, but he is also particularly renowned for the relaxed and informal environment he creates in his surgery to put his patients at ease.

Dr. Kumar has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, especially 'smile makeovers', which include teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, full ceramic crowns, bridges and white fillings.

Tip of the week: Eat cheese after eating or drinking sweet or acidic things. According to a new study from the Academy of General dentistry (AGD), cheese protects your teeth from acid erosion - the breakdown of enamel brought on by coffee, tea, wine soda and so on. How does it work? Our mouths naturally have a slightly acidic (low) pH, and when we eat foods or drinks that drive that pH even lower, our tooth enamel takes a hit. While saliva acts as a neutralising agent and restores pH levels in the mouth after we eat, some foods can assist in the pH – boosting process. The AGD researchers tested how milk, yoghurt, and cheese affect oral pH for 30 minutes after eating. (Milk and yogurt’s protective effects lasted only 10 minutes). Cheese lasted for 30 minutes.

Tip of the week: Do not brush your teeth straight after eating, leave your teeth for at least 30 minutes so that the acids from what you have eaten can neutralise before brushing your teeth.
