Let's give a huge round of applause to the Great British weather over the bank holiday weekend👏👏👏🌞 We packed in 2 massive country walks, lots of prosecco & of course chocolate (our fridge has never had so much in it!) Schools go back tomorrow so one last day left before the alarms have to be switched back on (ugghh - not looking forward to that) I dropped these finished recycled gold wedding rings off to my clients yesterday ready for their early May wedding. Will be back on full work mode from 9.30am tomorrow. Wish me luck! @rosalynsemporium

Happy Easter! Hope you are having a gloriously sunny bank holiday weekend. We're off to church this morning then dropping off some finished wedding rings on the way to friends for a barbecue (much chocolate & prosecco to follow I'm sure) 🐣

Thanks again to @cwm_wedding for inviting me to contribute to an article in the latest Your Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wedding magazine. Showing some recycled bridal jewellery & couples with their handmade wedding rings. I'm taking the whole of this Easter weekend off work now to squeeze my kids & hubby, enjoy that sunshine & see friends. Have a lovely weekend! @rosalynsemporium

A little pair of silver stud earrings for every day wear...slices of a textured silver bar to make each one. @rosalynsemporium

It was a special someone's birthday yesterday & I was commissioned to make this sapphire & diamond pendant to match her anniversary ring. Happy Birthday!! @rosalynsemporium

Two silver rings made today by the couple themselves. Such a huge size difference between them isn't there! D-shape is the most flexible shaped bar in terms of widths. Ranging from 2mm to 8mm. We've been discussing the finishing touches to these rings. Possibly engraving & setting with some sentimental family stones. Let's wait & see what happens! @rosalynsemporium

Two bars of D-shape silver on the bench peg today. The groom's wedding ring will remain silver & the bride's moulded & cast as platinum. I'll show you what they make later today... @rosalynsemporium

Here we go, a pair of unique wedding rings hand made today by the couple themselves. The groom wanted a twist style band which will now be moulded & cast as platinum or palladium. The bride's wedding ring has been left as a square profile so I can make the engagement ring to fit next to it & then finalise whether stones are set in the band or not. Happy to get to this point & let my imagination visualize the final rings - still a lot of work to do but very happy with the p...rogress made today. Now I'm off out to try out the new @thelazypiginthepantry for dinner!

I've got a couple of mid week wedding ring workshops this week. Dropped the kids at my ever patient in-laws yesterday so I can fully concentrate on some work. (School holiday / work juggle struggle!) Today we are working with a bar of silver for the groom & 18ct Rose Gold for the bride. We'll also be discussing their engagement ring so slightly jumping ahead with the wedding rings but sometimes it just works out like that. I'll show you what they make later today... @rosalynsemporium

Super happy with what they made!
Recycled gold wedding rings. Textured & for the bride a neat little shaped side to fit against her opal & diamond engagement ring. See next photo for a close up (love how the bride-to-be's nails match her boulder opal engagement ring) @rosalynsemporium

How you make a bar of gold into a wedding ring... The next image shows the pile of gold jewellery my clients gave me to make their own bars. They rummaged through old jewellery boxes to find the extra pieces needed to make the exact wedding rings they wanted. @rosalynsemporium

One of my recent couples holding their bars of recycled gold before we made them into wedding rings....see next posts for more details.

All the silkiness of platinum piled up in this pair of wedding rings. My clients finished them yesterday. The bride made a knife edge ring to match her Tiffany engagement ring. The groom made a court fit satin finished ring. Scroll through to see how they looked fresh from being cast & with the silver master rings. @rosalynsemporium

I've got a sandwich kind of a day today. Two consultations either side of a couple finishing their cast Platinum wedding rings. My workshop will be tidied, messy & tidied again ready for tomorrow's wedding ring workshop. Love how busy my little space has become. My favourite room to be in. Happy Saturday. @rosalynsemporium

Back home & scrolling through my photos from our mini-break. This is my sister in-laws wedding & engagement ring. I made the fitted wave-like wedding ring for her nearly 10 years ago. I took the photo on the beach which seems appropriate because we were dodging the waves coming in for most of the day. Happy Friday..... @rosalynsemporium

I've had a fab few days away with the kids celebrating my lovely mum's birthday & enjoying some early Easter craft & food treats. Safely home & back on my fav sofa. Wanted to share this stunning photo that my client tagged me in this week. The wedding rings I made for them with their hand engraved fingerprints embellished on the outside. Their wedding photographer captured my orange boxes so well. I wanted them to be a bright little beacon holding the most precious things. Thanks to @lizgreenhalghphoto for the photo & my client @sigridmfisher for the tag. Congratulations again to you both XX @rosalynsemporium

Trying to pretend it's not grey & miserable at the start of the Easter holidays. Don't forget all completed wedding rings will go home with a polishing cloth to keep them extra 'new'. I'm signing off for a few days & heading away with the kids for some family fun. Hoping all our ailments stay at home so we can fully enjoy the break. Happy holidays if you are on the same routine as us.... @rosalynsemporium

Here we go....a pair of recycled 9ct Gold wedding rings made by today's couple. They both wanted a textured finish so they looked like a pair. The bride kept one half polished of the wedding ring untextured so she has 2 looks. She also shaped one side to fit snuggly against her unusual opal engagement ring. Fab weekend with 2 very different pairs of wedding rings. @rosalynsemporium

Two bars of recycled 9ct Gold on the bench peg today. The bride & groom-to-be's gathered up some gold family heirlooms which have been melted down & reformed into bars for their new wedding rings. See the next photo to see how the gold looked before it was recycled. Check in later to see what they make. @rosalynsemporium
