About Rosie Lea Bakery

Bespoke Hampshire & Dorset Caterer & Cake Designer

Rosie Lea Bakery Description

Based in Brockenhurst on the Brookley Road, our bakery and tea house remains true to the ethics at the heart of the Rosie Lea brand, using locally produced New Forest ingredients to create high quality baked produce, keeping our carbon footprint down and remaining as ecologically friendly as possible.

During a visit to the bakery you can expect to enjoy creations containing local eggs, flour, meats & cheeses, locally produced jam and locally crafted chocolates.

In addition to supporting existing New Forest businesses, Rosie Lea also provides a comprehensive and varied “free from” menu aiming to give those with specific dietary requirements as good a selection as those without.
All our produce is baked on site ad can also be beautifully packaged and taken away.

The Tea House runs from early morning breakfast serving a good choice from menu from the humble muffin, to the house specialty “morning Tea”, a full continental breakfast served on a three tiered china cake stand, both glamorous and satisfying for hungry tums!

Throughout the remainder of the day Rosie Lea will be serving up light lunches, full sumptuous afternoon teas and a variety of cakes and baked goodies, and of course it wouldn’t be Rosie Lea if they didn’t serve you on their beautiful vintage china!

We were 4 adults plus a toddler and a baby, we arrived late morning with tea and cake in mind. James, the young man serving us was very accommodating and welcoming. We had afternoon tea between us all with lovely coffee and a large selection of tea to choose from. The sandwiches were delicious (gluten free options were available), the scones were fresh and warm on serving and of particular note was a delicious carrot and chilli pickle on the side. The selection of cakes were yummy.

I would thoroughly recommend to all and intend to return at the next available opportunity!

Thank you

We popped in today for afternoon tea and it was just delicious! We came with my 2 year old twins and from the moment we sat down they were well looked after ( their order taken straight away and food brought out quickly) Our afternoon tea was just divine, gorgeous sandwiches, cakes and scones, so much so that we couldn't manage to eat it all so had to take a doggy bag away with us! We were really impressed and will definitely be back for more!

This is a great place & the food is excellent

User

THE BEST scones I have ever tasted! Everything a perfect scone should be - light, buttery, fresh, warm, big! We went back for a second a couple of days after and it was just as delicious! I only wish I lived closer!

User

My friend and I visited yesterday and had the Royal Tea. I had the gluten free version and she had the regular one. We both agreed the food was fantastic and the cafe a lovely place for tea. We couldn't eat it all so had a box to take the cakes home. The manager was great fun and we had a good laugh with him. Will definitely be going back and can highly recommend. 😃

User

Had afternoon tea with my best friend and what an amazing experience. Friendly efficient service made us feel completely relaxed and the scones were out of this world! Took home a doggy bag of sandwiches as too delicious to leave behind. Will definitely be coming here again!

User

Had a lovely lunch with my young family here, although they were busy the staff were delightful, service was quick and the food was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble, they even allowed my 3 and 4 year old to have their water from a proper tea cup so they could enjoy the tea room experience. Will definitely visit whenever we're in Brockenhurst.

User

Fantastic place for a coffee, breakfast or lunch whether with friends or family - they don't even mind little kids (can't be said of all places!). My new favourite cafe in the new forest. Staff are lovely, setting is pretty and plenty of free parking, it's now been open a year and it's going from strength to strength.

User

My lovely Mum who comes to Rosie's a fair bit treated me to a mini brunch (I had already had some breakfast at home) and a cup of coffee. The cafe is lovely, not too cluttered as some "vintage" places are. The staff (noticed that they were all lads) were so polite and helpful. My Mum is a good cook and likes food to be freshly cooked which it all was. Well done and congratulations on your last award, many more to come I am sure.

User

Really good Sunday roast and fabulous Pavlova. Lovely.

User

Just had lunch with a friend here. Have never been before but will probably be back. Delicious food and amazing cakes, especially the gluten free orange and almond cake. Fab to have more than one choice of cake as a Coeliac!. Iced latte lovely too.

User

We had what was called American stack of pancakes, he has obviously not been to America, there were small and only 3! Also very rubbery and 7 pounds!!! Rip off!!
