We now have one of the famous silent soldiers outside the council offices in Farnborough. Others have already gone up in various locations across the borough, including the Queens roundabout in Farnborough and the Wellington and NAAFI roundabouts in Aldershot.
The silent soldiers are appearing across the country as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. This one has been sponsored by our Rushmoor in Bloom colleagues.

Due to the extremely hot temperatures predicted for tomorrow (27 July) we have agreed that our bin collection teams can start work one hour earlier so they can complete their rounds and get out of the sun an hour earlier.
Therefore, our rubbish, recycling and garden waste collections will start at 6am. So if you could put your bins out by this time we would be very grateful. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.
