Serviced checked the brakes on this beautiful Oakley horsebox a few weeks back in preparation for a long trip. If you’re planning a long drive with your vehicle, please make sure it’s fit to do so!

Mercedes c160 (1.8 supercharged petrol); the pistons had hit the valves and bent them so that the car had no compression! This happened due to the timing chain failing, but could also occur if the cam belt snaps. Please make sure you get your cam belts checked/changed when required!

Look at this beauty! An old series 2 landrover, 2 1/4 diesel, which had head gasket issues. We removed the head and took it to get reskimmed, removed the valves, replaced stem seals/head gasket and refitted the head. The old girl has life left in her yet!

Following on from my previous post, here is a short video of the damaged turbo. It should only have the slightest bit of movement in it whilst inactive, and yet the propellers on this one are rubbing the housing!

This landrover 110 2.4l TDCi’s injector seals had worn out and as you can see on the photo, the engine gases had shot up the outside of the injector, causing loads of carbon build up and a lot of top end pressure in the engine; This was pushing oil through the breather into the air intake! Unfortunately the carbon build up in the oil has damaged the turbo....

Was called out to this van a few weeks back... the owner thought the gearbox had gone. After chatting to the owner and inspecting the vehicle, I discovered that a local garage had previously fitted a new drive shaft a day earlier and they hadn’t tightened any of the bolts up! They also hadn’t completed the work that they’d charged him for. I will not name and shame the garage, but please be aware that even big businesses can take the mickey!!!!!

.. this landrover had a broken half shaft, whilst replacing it, I realised that someone else had put the wrong bolts in to hold the calliper on! so dangerous.. please ensure that your mechanic is trustworthy and knows what they are doing!!!!

Had this lovely defender come in which had become damaged after colliding with a post; the impact bent the crossmember and rear tub quite badly. We used porta-powers to straighten the crossmember and body work out and sent her off to get resprayed.

Took this old Landrover in for its MOT- after 49 years, all we had to do was realign the headlights and clean up the terminals at the back of the headlight switch. She went straight through- they really are built to last!!!!

This L200 came to us with no brakes. Replaced the fluid and checked for leaks, and discovered that one of the brake pipes had corroded away! Made up and fitted a new brake pipe and the brakes are working perfectly again!

This Defender had a starting issue so we replaced the fuel pump which solved the problem! Replaced the bushes, took it in for its MOT and she passed with no advisories.

Went out to this Ford Focus with an oil leak- turned out to be an issue with the rocker box gasket which filled all of the spark plug holes with oil, making it run incorrectly. Replaced the gasket, cleaned up all the excess oil and now she runs like a dream! This was all done outside of the owners work place... no need to go to a garage!!

We don’t just do cars; we can also do your farm machinery!!! Built up and replaced the pto prop on this John Deere tractor this week. Now the owner can continue topping his fields!

Customer bought this car and said it had no clutch now I can see why put a nice new clutch in it good as new 👍

Done a mitsubishi shogun it need new back brake calipers and front wheel bearings Done over the weekend to get him back on the road for Monday

Had a VW T25 Campervan in because the throttle was staying open turned out to be a damaged throttle cable replaced cable with a new one another happy customer

He was on time, easy and very genuine to deal with and was very reasonably priced. Would 100% recommend to anybody. And will defiantly use Harry again.

Harry knows cars inside and out, he works on our lorries, landrovers, tractors and cars. He puts an awful lot of so called “mechanics” to shame!
