We consistently produce high-quality research that is published in world-leading journals, and as experts in our respective fields, our teaching is informed by the latest research evidence. We aim to provide our students with a balance of research and theory during their studies, whilst also developing the applied skills that employers value. We assist our students with the development of their professional skills by supporting work placement opportunities and provision of externally accredited qualifications and due to this we're proud ourselves on our level of student satisfaction. We foster a friendly and inclusive atmosphere within the School and promote a learning rich environment and this leads us to be considered approachable and accessible to our students. Finally our new lab facilities at Medway Park provide a contemporary world-class learning environment that is used by our students at all levels, including during final year research projects. These facilities include an environmental chamber, anti-gravity treadmill, and neurophysiology testing equipment.

It was fantastic to see the achievements of all the schools taking part in this years Inside Sport Science workshops. The schools taking part have been conducting there own research project at the University of Kent sports laboratories, and last night they presented their findings at the Inside Sport Science Conference. Congratulations to Chatham Grammar School for winning this years event with with their research on the affect of cold climates on muscular strength. The evening was topped of with a presentation from guest speaker, and University of Kent alumni Charlotte Evans, who talked about her journey to winning a Gold Medal at the Winter Paralympic Games, Sochi 2014.
