We went to the shalimar for a works outing and the food and service was fantastic, so good infact that when my other half suggested having a curry the next day i suggested the shalimar and I was back enjoying the amazing food and fantastic staff again.

5/5. 10/10 100/100.

They even remembered me from the night before.

We visited yesterday and couldn't thank the staff enough! 7 of us for my mums birthday, as soon as we sat down a member of staff came and took our drinks order, then food etc. The wait wasn't at all long and the food was amazing starters and mains! My son who's 2 got a bit bored towards the end and the girl behind the bar came and gave him some chocolate to keep him happy, then at the end herself and another member of staff made shots up for my mums birthday, all in all they made our evening very good and will definitely be coming back! Thankyou!

Shalimar last night celebrating my mum's birthday with the family. Meal was fantastic and service is always above and beyond nothing was a problem. Have to say favourite restaurant by far.If my Hub let me i would eat here every night � food is great staff are brilliant. Thanks Shalimar x

Shalimar is the best Indian restaurant in the area because the food , service by all the staff is 1st class and they are all smartly dressed and the owner Eric is pleasant and makes you feel very welcome as I should know as I have been going there for over 20 years and no other place comes near, keep up the good work guys

Like EVERYONE says, it really is the best Indian restaurant for miles. Food is always amazing and to service is top notch. But it does get VERY busy, expect a small wait to be seated, and once you are seated, if you want fast food go to McDonalds. Take your time and enjoy the experience.

I went there for my birthday meal with friends and family great food and the staff was amazing. They brought out my cake and even the staff and locals was singing happy birthday to me. Lovely place and very kind. Highly recommend.

Been going here for over 20 years. It's always busy so a testament to how good it is. Always lovely food and unusual House Specials - worth trying something new. Service is generally good too. It's not the cheapest curry house but I highly recommend it.

Book a table so your not disappointed although we were fitted in within 30 mins �

The table was booked for 8pm as apparently bookings couldn't be taken earlier than that and we weren't seated until 8.20pm despite us arriving early. We had to pour our rice off the dish as soon as it arrived so the bowl could be taken to be re-used but other than that, the food was nice and the service was friendly.

Food very good, service terrible. Booked the table 7 hours beforehand, on arrival they had no record of the booking. Had to order drinks twice, got them wrong... twice. After ordering another waiter came to take order. After a long wait food arrived, which was very good standard, had to wait ages to ask for the bill. When it did arrive had to wait even longer for them to take payment. After deciding against phoning the front desk to ask for staff I went up there and paid. If you like curry and have time to kill then visit. Second visit where service has been poor.
