***************************************** ******* The pictured shawl has now SOLD but can be crocheted to order - contact me for your requests. ***************************************** *******
This beautifully textured shawl/wrap is ideal for winter into spring and to take the chill off on summer evenings. It is very large (check dimensions on last photo).
... Wear it out and about or wear it snuggled up on the settee watching a good film, it's ideal for car journeys where you don't want to wear your coat but want to be warm with your arms free when you need them.
The long colour changes in this particular yarn lend themselves nicely to accentuating the different stitches used by random stripes. The fabric feels wonderfully soft and the DK yarn used makes it warm but not overly heavy.
Can be made in other colourways and different types of yarn which will increase/decrease thickness, size and cost.

Another donation received for this little fella. He's a Stormtrooper. The last photo shows him with his slightly older brother, my first attempt that I felt wasn't quite right (I'm a loose hooker apparently). If anyone would like to adopt the bigger one, send me a PM and he's yours for a donation to Cancer Research as usual. Not sure how tall he is, the little one was 4.5" / 11.5cm. He can't stand up unaided but will lean nonchalantly against a wall. I can't recommend him for small children as the eyes make me nervous with my too big stitches. Of course if you would like a more perfect dinky one, I can knock another one up to order, usually in an evening while sat cross legged on my hotel bed eating my Tesco meal deal - the glamour of working away from home....

Looking at putting some bib & bootee sets in the shop. Made in easy to wash 100% acrylic yarn, they're quite quick to work up in the colour of your choosing.

Crocheted facehugger from the Alien movies. Made for my husband who is a big fan of the films. This took ages and was a total faff to do but if you want to make a substantial (and I mean SUBSTANTIAL) donation to Cancer Research and cover the cost of materials, I'll consider putting myself through crochet trauma again. #facehugger #crochet #alien #cancerresearch #inspacenoonecanhearyouscream

What's on the hook...
A rather lovely asymmetrical shawl. Simple hdc with a bobble every fourth row. King Cole Riot DK in Funky - colours remind me of a field of heather.
If I can bear to part with it once complete, it will be in the shop. If not, I will take commissions for any colourway you fancy. Alternatively you can make your own by following the link below (pattern in US terms).

Thought I'd better put some actual shawls in the shop... £20-£25 of the purchase price goes to Cancer Research.
If the prices mortify you, please consider that I'm actually charging a pitiful hourly rate for my work at barely more than £1 per hour and all of it is going to charity. The patterns used are freely available on the Internet and if you're local, I will happily spend time with you to get you started in making your own.

I've added new items to the store... twice - first time I didn't realise the photos had to be square, spent all morning uploading photos, and writing descriptions only to find the pictures only showed an arm or a head or something else pointless and they couldn't be viewed full size! New photos had to be taken and cropped square, got there eventually.
Anyhoo, here they are. After materials, approximately £10 of the purchase price is going to Cancer Research, being as one of ...these little beasts can take me the best part of a day to finish, I don't think it's too outrageous.
I have one of everything available and will make more as and when one (hopefully) sells or if they are requested in different colours, with felt/embroidered features rather than plastic safety eyes and/or rattles or squeakers inside.
Collection from Maidenhead, can deliver to the Banbury area every few weeks when visiting my Mum or will post for an additional fee.
Please share with anyone who might appreciate them.

Lost in Time shawl using King Cole Riot Chunky in Firefly (1691) with a 6mm hook - just under 8 balls of yarn and 15 hours of hooking. Stunning colours, the photos don't do it justice. It's thick, squidgy and very warm, a thing of beauty and my inspiration for starting up this shop and giving it its name. It was my first commission, for a friend. So, I thought I could set up a shop and sell my wares, no profit as such, just to cover the yarn and a reasonable donation on top... to go to Cancer Research in honour of my good ol' Dad, David Taylor.. Keeps me happy as a prolific crocheter and keeps my husband happy as a poor chap sick of the sight of so much yarn and crocheted items around the flat. He has a point I guess, how many blankets does a person need? I can't keep them all. #mijocrochet https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/pa ge/inmemory/0006770
