Thank you so so much to Val and all the staff at shortt's bar brighton. On Saturday the 5th september the bar was transformed into a stunning venue for mine and tony's engagement party it was everything we could have asked for and more and certainly couldn't have been achieved without any of you thanks again for making it a special evening xxxxxx

Staff are very friendly, made us feel very welcome and the food!!! Well the food was absolutely AMAZING!! Highly recommend when ya in Brighton.

On Sunday 7th August 2016 I fell in love - with Shortt's Bar at the Brighton Pride Street Party - from 3pm until well after 7pm I danced NON -STOP.

On the London, Brighton and The Garden Tisno Croatia I am quite a well known experienced clubber, and do seem to have quite a reputation - the DJ's you selected were totally 'on point' - I did later sample what was on offer elsewhere - however for me you spun perfect tracks - a mix of uplifting funk disco with some terrific mixes.

Loved the friendly security and bar staff who even supplied me with some refreshment on the house - by the way it was NOT my intention to take over the 'dance floor' I was not putting on a show - just as usual being myself.

well my ( London Pride 2016 theme has ) #nofilter. Our campaign this year is called #nofilter. It celebrates the spirit of Pride and asks you to do something very simple: Live your life as you. Many LGBT+ people feel in the need to filter their behaviour, to self-censor or to hide who they are. Came off YEARS ago.

Brighton is like my second home and visit several times a month - so rest assured I will be back - to Shortt's Bar!

Just popped in , great friendly staff , made you feel welcome, had a great band , who got everyone up and dancing . Nice place to have a quiet drink in the afternoon as well

Just found this place after moving down here nice pub very friendly staff entertainment great and the food is fantastic

Just been in there for my first roast dinner since moving into the area - absolutely stunning! Super portion size (especially the mixed meat roast!) and ridiculously tasty as well. Service is always great in there and their cheery friendliness will always brighten up a dreary day.



Great live bands over the weekend as well! Can’t wait for the summer to sit in their beer garden all day.

Just been for a mothers day meal here and the food was spot on, flavours were great portion size was excellent along with the service

I love this pub. Great for a quick pint on a break from work, or for a good session. The Pride party at the weekend was ace, brilliant music, great friendly service & awesome burgers and hotdogs from the bbq in the garden, exactly what we needed at the street party on Sunday! We own a cafe near by and this is the best local to have x

Had sunday lunch and it was spectacular very tasty, food cooked to perfection and lovely twist to the cauliflower cheese side dish, go eat and enjoy, plus the staff were very friendly

Fabulous service and a damn fine roast. We were a table of 20 and they were very efficient and friendly. Great beer garden to boot to!

Cracking great local, brilliant landlady and staff, good comforting pub grub and all round nice place to spend an afternoon and/or evening X

Can't fault the place...atmosphere is great and the food was superb I'll definitely be going back on n the very near future

We popped in last night (Thursday) on walk home, visiting from Norfolk, and found the price of a good Tribute and a Peroni rather expensive at over £9 especially as offers of cheap drinks were plastered over the walls. Went in because of a guitar playing singer, but only 5 people in there at 9pm. He was good, but pub needs supporting; the barman was bored and started cleaning shelves!
