We’re a little over half way through the build stage of our loft conversion but the experience so far has been great. David has undertaken the vast majority of the work and he’s been an absolute joy to work with. Great communication from him, his work rate is second to none and attention to detail is exactly what we’re after too. Also a lovely guy to chat with. Megan and Emma have also been terrific and are both extremely knowledgable.



I thought it would be worth putting my review in whilst the job is ongoing as this is when the most disruption is felt and arguably the toughest part of the project to remain positive about. Working with great people will always make the build stage of a project easier to deal with and that’s what Skylofts have delivered so far.



I’ll add to the review once the project is completed so that I can give a broader review about the finished job.

We really can't speak highly enough of our experience with SkyLofts - and we couldn't be any more in love with our gorgeous new loft! (I will post some pictures shortly)



From our very first contact with Skylofts almost 3 years ago, we were impressed with their offering and so (once we'd saved enough pennies!) we knew we would use them.



The planning phase was all straight forward (we have a fairly standard Victorian terrace) and we found it really helpful (and comforting) to be able to see such a concise price breakdown - as well as fully detailed plans.



The build/conversion itself was surprisingly plain sailing, and dare I say, really enjoyable! Matt and Aaron from SkyLofts were not only brilliant at carpentry, but thoroughly lovely people too (we miss them being here, especially my two year old, who still keeps measuring things, having watched Matt and Aaron hard at work!).



Matt was a great project manager on site, as was Emma in the office, and together they made sure other trades came and went as they needed to, and also ensured that everything was completed to a high standard (and whipped some backsides where need be!). Their work ethic and skills are admirable, and this really shows in what is now, a very snazzy master bedroom/suite.



I’d not hesitate to recommend SkyLofts; whilst you may pay a little extra to have everything under one roof (basically, to have them organise everything/pull everything together for you), it is totally worth it. We would also absolutely recommend splashing a little extra and getting fitted cupboards/wardrobes etc. We umm-ed and ahh-ed, but we are so pleased that we opted to go ‘fitted’ – it’s such a beautiful space that’s finished off perfectly with the cupboards and shelving that fit ‘just so’.

We had SkyLofts come and convert a small loft into a study/bedroom.



Right from the initial survey, to the final fix, Skylofts endeavoured to answer any questions we had in a quick and unequivocal way. This helped us through the process so we could plan and understand what was going on.



All the workmen were great and very professional. We were impressed at their work ethic, getting on with the job and working a full day on site. Whilst we were at home during some of the works, they never interrupted us or requested anything. Very impressed with their standards of work too!



The loft looks great. No issues a few months on and we are enjoying using that space now. The guys and girls in the office are all contactable and work hard during the works, so that any issues are dealt with.



Would recommend and you won’t be disappointed with the finished product.

We decided on having our loft converted earlier this year and Roy came and gave us his expert advice on how the best layout would be, we felt so confident with sky lofts that we never bothered with any other estimates. Ross came and did all the drawings and plans submitted works started September. Ben was our main man, lovely guy and so good at his job and hard worker and within the first week the frame of the dormer was in place. All the tradesmen were brilliant, electrician, plumber,plasterer,roofer and of course Ben and Taran. We felt very happy leaving these men in our home, they were extremely clean tidy workers and will miss them all. Emma and Megan in the office have been so helpful throughout the process and we would recommend Sky Lofts 100percent to anybody considering a loft conversion and want to thank everybody involved in creating a lovely room in 5weeks start to finish
