Anyone interested in a new car? One of my customers is selling their car to buy a new work van and is offering to sell it for the same price he was offered as part exchange. Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 sxi black 2008 72000 miles 2 door. £1400

Today I carried out an ABS fault inspection. The customer had taken their car to a Halfords autocentre for a service, Mot and cambelt change and left with an ABS light on. Halfords denied causing the fault and offered no help at all in even diagnosing the problem. A very annoyed customer left them and turned to me for help. A plug on with the computer found no communication with the module which made me start my checks with power supply. All fuses ok I checked power to the module. 2 lives present but only 1 of the 2 earths present. Trace back through the loom I found the earth point broken. And guess where that was located? Right next to the engine mounting which had just been removed by Halfords to replace the cambelt. A quick repair by soldering the wire back to the connection I had ABS working again and a very happy customer.

Todays job. Replaced brake pads all round on this VW Golf R. Supplied and fitted in Brembo. Front brake pads £90. Rear brake pads £70.

Another satisfied customer. Replaced a starter motor on his vauxhall combo 1.7 di van. After his mobile mechanic said it needs to be replaced at a garage on a ramp, he came to me and although a bit difficult I got it completed on his drive at his home.

Sam was round at my mum's house servicing my brother's car and other things. I mentioned to him that my car was making a metal noise and he said he would take a look at it for me afterwards. It was about 6pm when he took a look at my car. He took it for a drive and before I knew it he was at the front door to say that he had sorted the problem which was a large stone stuck in one of the discs. Asked him what the cost was and he said there wasn't one! Both myself and my brother are very pleased with Sam's work and I will definitely be using him in the future and would not hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.

Contacted Sam to ask for some assistance with problems I had with my parking sensors & camera. Sam arrived on-time, worked competently and efficiently, providing feedback on progress throughout. Priced competitively and fairly Sam investigated fully and advised what needed to be done to fix the problem.

Came and collected the car and brought back reasonable prices would deffo recommend and use again. Only messaged beginning of week and didn't have to wait long
