My work pals and I had such a great afternoon here on Saturday! The atmosphere was great and we had a Pornstar martini this size of our heads which even comes with a bottle of prosecco and strawberries (bargain)! The food was yummy as well - you can't really beat tapas and with a selection of small deserts ;). Thank you to the staff who also looked after us - it was pretty busy with other parties, but the service was friendly and quick. Lee is particularly awesome - we will definitely be back!

Had a great afternoon here celebrating with work mates after a big week at work - we couldn't have picked a better location - we had the worlds biggest pornstar martini (which comes with a whole bottle of prosecco) and 2 massive platters of food, including some delicious mini deserts. The staff had several large parties in for birthdays and hen dos yet they still checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed and were having a good time. The atmosphere inside is really chilled - we visited mid afternoon so it wasn't packed but definitely had the vibe of a fun place to be.

I would definitely return, perhaps even for a birthday as the cocktail making session that was going on behind us looked like so much fun! Massive thanks to Lee and the team for looking after us so well!

Came here yesterday with 10 other girls for Afternoon Tea. Although the service was good and the staff were nice. We was short on our sandwiches literally one piece each not enough for 11of us. We asked for more which they did bring out to us after we had ate the cakes! On the menu it states scones with clotted cream and Jam and there was non only pots of jam. We spoke to a gentlemen who I think was the manager and said that they don't come with scones even though it states on the menu bit disappointed about that. As a whole you do get what you pay for with 2 drinks. On a whole we did enjoy our time here yesterday but think you should address the NO SCONES as that's what Afternoon Tea is all about! The rest of the puddings were amazing.

No problem getting drinks but it was early. Food on the other hand was a different matter. Starters came very quickly after ordering then about an hour wait for mains. One order completely missed plus one side order. Staff seemed bemused but order was checked at the bar. Food was ok but nothing special.

Steak was like rubber, meals were mixed up, one starter was frozen when my friend bit into it, 5 people had steaks 3 went back! Such a shame, one girl asked for lemon for her fish, the waiter came back with one slice of lemon in his hand �!

Food was shocking, my starter was mushrooms it literally come out on the plate with a sauce in a pot and 5 mushrooms on the plate. So side salad on the plate nothing, main was burger and chips, chips were cold and the burger was horrible.

Service was shocking, big group of is (20+) all our food was coming out at different times with big gaps so most people would have finished before other meals coming out.

The bar are is very good with the two for one cocktails, but you need more staff behind the bar. Waited 20 mins to get a drink !

My friend and I had a sharer platter with chicken, onion rings and breaded mushrooms etc last Saturday, I said to my friend that the teriyaki chicken skewers tasted a bit off at the time however as they were cooked through we decided to eat them. We assumed the funny flavour was to do with the dressing but unfortunately it appears it was because the chicken was very much off. On the following Monday we were both projectile vomiting all day and both had fever and cold sweats from food poisoning on the Tuesday and Wednesday. (Bear in mind we live 2 hours apart and this was the only thing we had eaten together so realistically it’s not going to be anything else for us to both have been exactly the same kind of ill at the same time). I had this confirmed as food poisoning by my doctor as we initially thought it may be a virus but my doctor ruled this out and said it was definitely food poisoning and I had to be treated with antibiotics. Basically eating here was probably the worst decision we could’ve made. Oh and last time I ate here on my friends birthday you guys turned the place into a nightclub (lights off, music up) at about 8pm when we were still eating our dinner, even though we had booked the table for food so you knew full well we were there just for dinner (and the birthday girl’s lasagne was stone cold in the middle). Seriously could not be more unimpressed by this place’s food, would not recommend eating here. I was so unbelievably ill and had to miss 3 days of work from eating here. It’s a good bar for cocktails but an absolutely terrible restaurant.

I suggest if you are going to use a scanner on ID to enter, you keep your doormen more informed.

This is nothing more than determining if the ID (bank card) is fake - and nothing to do with safety. It’s intimidating to be demanding this and not explain the technicalities.

If this scanner does hold information then privacy issues come into place, if all it does is scan for fake bank cards then please don’t intimidate customers by pretending it’s in their own safety interests.

I took my mother today for a Mother’s Day meal. We were welcomed on entry and we chose a nice table by the window.



However, when I approached the bar to order food, there were two waiters mixing cocktails, the one nearest to where I was stood didn’t even acknowledge my presence, then made a bee line for two young women who were stood next to me, and began to flirt with them whilst I stood staring into space trying not to look too awkward but definitely feeling it.



I then walked back to the table and calmly asked my mum if we could go elsewhere, as no one appeared to be serving behind the bar.



I noticed a lady who I can only assume was the manager (wearing a black top?) was I thought coming towards us, to check, however she was setting up a table nearby, no one asked if we were okay.



We ended up having an amazing meal in Prezzo next door.



I can't speak for my Mum, but, I won't be coming back again.

First time visiting the Oxford slug a lettuce for a friends birthday. We paid £25 for a three course meal. My steak, which I ordered medium, was served to me almost burnt. I sent it back asking for it to be cooked to my taste, when I got it back the steak was cooked nicely however they had just swapped the chips and other garnishes over and these were therefore stone cold. My friends had the vegetable linguine, which frankly just tasted of vinegar. The service was slow and staff rude and unaccommodating. We will not be returning. A thorough disappointment, not worth the money.

Came in Saturday for my birthday night out travelled from Banbury well wish I hadn’t bothered .Person who eventually served us after at least a 20 minute wait didn’t even speak just glared ,Told him what we wanted ,he served us while scowling told us the price no please or thank you when we gave him the money .Definately needs some customer service training .

Came here yesterday with 10 other girls for Afternoon Tea. Although the service was good and the staff were nice. We was short on our sandwiches literally one piece each not enough for 11of us. We asked for more which they did bring out to us after we had ate the cakes! On the menu it states scones with clotted cream and Jam and there was non only pots of jam. We spoke to a gentlemen who I think was the manager and said that they don't come with scones even though it states on the menu bit disappointed about that. As a whole you do get what you pay for with 2 drinks. On a whole we did enjoy our time here yesterday but think you should address the NO SCONES as that's what Afternoon Tea is all about! The rest of the puddings were amazing.

One order completely missed plus one side order. Staff seemed bemused but order was checked at the bar. Food was ok but nothing special.

Steak was like rubber, meals were mixed up, one starter was frozen when my friend bit into it, 5 people had steaks 3 went back! Such a shame, one girl asked for lemon for her fish, the waiter came back with one slice of lemon in his hand �!

Food was shocking, my starter was mushrooms it literally come out on the plate with a sauce in a pot and 5 mushrooms on the plate. So side salad on the plate nothing, main was burger and chips, chips were cold and the burger was horrible.

Service was shocking, big group of is (20+) all our food was coming out at different times with big gaps so most people would have finished before other meals coming out.

The bar are is very good with the two for one cocktails, but you need more staff behind the bar. Waited 20 mins to get a drink !

We certainly wouldn't go back. Especially with the new Westgate and Varsity around the corner, who obviously care about standards and service in comparison. The two inept cretins behind the bar looked both homeless and clueless with no manager in sight. You genuinely couldn't pay me to go back. Worst bar experience in a long time.

My friend and I had a sharer platter with chicken, onion rings and breaded mushrooms etc last Saturday, I said to my friend that the teriyaki chicken skewers tasted a bit off at the time however as they were cooked through we decided to eat them. We assumed the funny flavour was to do with the dressing but unfortunately it appears it was because the chicken was very much off. On the following Monday we were both projectile vomiting all day and both had fever and cold sweats from food poisoning on the Tuesday and Wednesday. (Bear in mind we live 2 hours apart and this was the only thing we had eaten together so realistically it’s not going to be anything else for us to both have been exactly the same kind of ill at the same time). I had this confirmed as food poisoning by my doctor as we initially thought it may be a virus but my doctor ruled this out and said it was definitely food poisoning and I had to be treated with antibiotics. Basically eating here was probably the worst decision we could’ve made. Oh and last time I ate here on my friends birthday you guys turned the place into a nightclub (lights off, music up) at about 8pm when we were still eating our dinner, even though we had booked the table for food so you knew full well we were there just for dinner (and the birthday girl’s lasagne was stone cold in the middle). Seriously could not be more unimpressed by this place’s food, would not recommend eating here. I was so unbelievably ill and had to miss 3 days of work from eating here. It’s a good bar for cocktails but an absolutely terrible restaurant.

I suggest if you are going to use a scanner on ID to enter, you keep your doormen more informed.

This is nothing more than determining if the ID (bank card) is fake - and nothing to do with safety. It’s intimidating to be demanding this and not explain the technicalities.

If this scanner does hold information then privacy issues come into place, if all it does is scan for fake bank cards then please don’t intimidate customers by pretending it’s in their own safety interests.

I took my mother today for a Mother’s Day meal. We were welcomed on entry and we chose a nice table by the window.



However, when I approached the bar to order food, there were two waiters mixing cocktails, the one nearest to where I was stood didn’t even acknowledge my presence, then made a bee line for two young women who were stood next to me, and began to flirt with them whilst I stood staring into space trying not to look too awkward but definitely feeling it.



I then walked back to the table and calmly asked my mum if we could go elsewhere, as no one appeared to be serving behind the bar.



I noticed a lady who I can only assume was the manager (wearing a black top?) was I thought coming towards us, to check, however she was setting up a table nearby, no one asked if we were okay.



We ended up having an amazing meal in Prezzo next door.



I can't speak for my Mum, but, I won't be coming back again.

First time visiting the Oxford slug a lettuce for a friends birthday. We paid £25 for a three course meal. My steak, which I ordered medium, was served to me almost burnt. I sent it back asking for it to be cooked to my taste, when I got it back the steak was cooked nicely however they had just swapped the chips and other garnishes over and these were therefore stone cold. My friends had the vegetable linguine, which frankly just tasted of vinegar. The service was slow and staff rude and unaccommodating. We will not be returning. A thorough disappointment, not worth the money.

Came in Saturday for my birthday night out travelled from Banbury well wish I hadn’t bothered .Person who eventually served us after at least a 20 minute wait didn’t even speak just glared ,Told him what we wanted ,he served us while scowling told us the price no please or thank you when we gave him the money .Definately needs some customer service training .

My work pals and I had such a great afternoon here on Saturday! The atmosphere was great and we had a Pornstar martini this size of our heads which even comes with a bottle of prosecco and strawberries (bargain)! The food was yummy as well - you can't really beat tapas and with a selection of small deserts ;). Thank you to the staff who also looked after us - it was pretty busy with other parties, but the service was friendly and quick. Lee is particularly awesome - we will definitely be back!

Had a great afternoon here celebrating with work mates after a big week at work - we couldn't have picked a better location - we had the worlds biggest pornstar martini (which comes with a whole bottle of prosecco) and 2 massive platters of food, including some delicious mini deserts. The staff had several large parties in for birthdays and hen dos yet they still checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed and were having a good time. The atmosphere inside is really chilled - we visited mid afternoon so it wasn't packed but definitely had the vibe of a fun place to be.
