Earlier today we visited our third new Party Wall job this year. The building owner is planning on removing the internal chimney breasts and inserting beams into the party wall. We will be serving notice on the adjoining owner on behalf of the building owner and recommending a schedule of condition takes place prior to works commencing.
This means both owners are covered under The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 should a dispute occur 👇🏼

Thanks to our Mike the matter is now progressing in line with The Party Wall etc. Act 1996. Time to prepare and serve a Party Wall Award as agreed surveyor. We have just successfully awarded an adjoining owner over £16000 for damages caused during works undertaken by their neighbour.
This was all undertaken out of court and at no cost to the adjoining owner. We cannot stress enough the importance of The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 👇🏼
