Southdown Automotive is now closed for business for the foreseeable future.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of my loyal customers and thank you for your continued custom. With the world of motor trade forever changing we have seen it necessary to move on to new platforms to progress further with a new venture.
... Although the team and I are staying well and truly put on our Ifold site for the foreseeable future our interests are no longer within the retail/customer sector of the trade.
The current appearance of our site is and will continue to change for the better. To the the locals I ask please bear with us during this transition period as improving the appearance of the site is high on our list of priorities but won’t be overnight. Something that had become difficult in the past due to work load and commitments.

Thought we would give a little update on the Porsche 912. Progress has been slow but on the upside you can’t put a time on perfection....

This week at Southdown Automotive we handed back a project to its owner after having corrosive issues addressed, also giving the 1997 XK8 convertible a new steel lined heart. The original nikasil lined engine was worn and breathing heavy with large quantities of engine oil being drawn into the combustion chambers!
The corrosion had set in badly on this sorry looking Jag but with many hours of stripping, cutting and welding we took care of all the nasties.
Once our work was ...done off she went to the paint shop to have it all prepped and painted. The guys there even polished the rest of the car to a shiny finish to match the new paint on the rear...

WE ARE ON THE MOVE...
The team here are please to announce that we are on the move to more suitable, bigger and better equipped premises.
We are excited for the move and welcome our customers to pop by and say hi once we are settled, our move date is March 1st, and will be trading from March 6th however should you have any problem please don't hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to fit you in.
... We have an MOT bay on site and should be testing within 2 months. We will still be able to carry out normal service and MOT's, diagnostics, air conditions, tyre replacement and balancing and much more
