Important please read and share....
Could all units please make sure they check Westminster for allocated spaces for the September course due to really high demand not all cadets have a space, I have received a few emails changing up cadet spaces however Westminster is up to date! If your cadet is not accepted then they do not have a space. we are as always still trying to gain more instructors to help with the massive uptake of adventure training in southern area so if any of your unit staff are interested please do contact us

To clarify an earlier post, which seems to be causing confusion, we have NOT cancelled the September course, almost 100 cadets have been accepted, however almost 100 additional could not be accepted.
Those cadets who were successful have been updated on WM.
If you have any questions please contact the CO directly.

Due to non availability of instructors, we sadly have had to turn away almost 100 cadets from Septembers course. This equates to 200 cadet training days, and 1100 cadet qualifications or CTP modules in Southern Area, in just one weekend!
I am terribly sorry to those who have been unsuccessful in gaining a space this course, however please rest assured we are doing all we can to train new instructors.
If you feel you have spare capacity and wish to qualify so you can assis...t these cadets, and deliver within your own unit, please contact ASO (AT) who can talk you through the options.
If any qualified staff have availability please contact me ASAP so we can accept more cadets!

One for the current CFAV’s on MIAS... what trailside emergency did I use this toothpaste tube for today?
Just our luck it happened while we were chasing Greg Minnar down Morzine’s black graded French National Downhill Trail.

Due to an unfortunate cancellation, we have 1 space, which has just become available for the NGB Mountain Bike Instructors course at Middlehill this weekend. Open to any Southern Area CI or uniformed member of staff, who can be there by 0900. Cost is £20, as opposed to the £230 your pay in civilian street.
Interested parties to message this page, email or call ASO AT without delay.
First come first served - riding experience and good level of fitness is obviously a bonus.

From John Bennett
Thanks to all the amazing staff at Middlehill & to all the cadets that have attended my MTB courses over the last 3½ years.
It’s time for me to move on but I have had an absolute blast in my time at Middlehill. It’s been loaded with great experiences & opportunities that I feel proud to have been a part of and amazing memories that I’ll take with me forever.
... Good luck to all of the team.
I’m gonna miss it.
