Tips To Help You Write Better 5
Delete the word “that.” Almost every time you use the word “that” it could be removed. It will make your sentence stronger.... Example: “You believe that I am lying, but I am not.” becomes “You believe I’m lying, but I’m not.”

Tips To Help You Write Better 4
Avoid words that end in “-ing.” In most cases, the “-ing” softens your word and adds no value. Example: “The experiences we’re seeking end up being underwhelming and even disappointing.” ... Whereas it would be better if “The experiences we seek often underwhelm and disappoint.”

Tips To Help You Write Better 3
Delete the words “I think.” They add nothing. Removing them strengthens your point. Example: “I think this is a good sentence.” Is not as good as “This is a good sentence.”

Tips To Help You Write Better 2
Shorten your opening sentence. Make it compelling, but keep it short and conversational. In fact shorten most of your sentences. “This is a post that is intended to help you become a better writer.” Or you could write - “I can help you write better."... Which one grabs your attention?

Tips To Help You Write Better 1
Short words in short sentences work better than long words in long sentences. Two or three sentences per short paragraph works better than lots of sentences in long paragraphs. Most sentences can be cut in half. ... Keep it one idea per sentence. Don’t be afraid to have a three or four word sentence.

Highlighting incorrectly using fewer and less. You have less sugar by using fewer spoonfuls; eat less sugar by having fewer sweets. Less refers to the amount, fewer refers to a number.
