What a wonderful place to have surgery. I was lucky enough to be offered Spencer Wing as an NHS patient for a total hip replacement under Mr Richard Slack. From the moment I arrived I felt safe, secure and confident. Everyone from the reception staff through the catering, portering, physio, occ therapy and nursing staff to Mr Slack and Dr Pereira were amazing and my room was lovely. My actual surgery went extremely well and, although I felt very groggy afterwards, the care was brilliant, though not intrusive. I would never actually recommend anyone to go into hospital as such but if you do need to have a procedure, this is the place to be!
Went in for a nose operation yesterday and found all the staff to be extremely pleasant and very helpful.
Thank you Spencer wing team :-)
Very friendly staff makes you feel relaxed
Very clean, friendly staff and get to see Mr Padgham through choose and book!
The service was exceptional, it was great to be treated like a person and not a chunk of meat passing through.....well done.
Such lovely caring staff that all have time for you.
Staff are absolutely wonderful. Polite. Helpful. Jovial. Could not want for anything better.
Really caring staff to help you every step of the way . From the moment you check in through to the recovery room and then back into bedroom . Always felt in safe hands and surrounded by people who wanted to help you with kindness and compassion . Well done spencer wing !!!! Funny to say this but really enjoyed my stay with you
My wife was in for an operation, and was treated brilliantly by all members of the staff there. All the staff there were friendly, and approachable.
My wife has had surgery here on 3 separate occasions & if she was given the choice would go nowhere else, the staff are friendly & professional, the food is good & the overall experience of what is normally a harrowing time is made as pleasant as is possible.
My mum had a small procedure at spencer and we found the staff to be so friendly and caring
My little girl had to go in yesterday to have an additional tooth that she has taken out under a general anaesthetic.
At 7 years old she was understandably very nervous, as was I!
I really can't thank all the staff enough for taking such good care of her, their attentive, friendly and caring manner really put us at ease, so much so that she didn't want to leave! Thank you so much to Ali, Eliza, Mark, Mr Goodger and other staff involved.
Lovely dedicated nurses who can't do more than enough for you. Right down to catering staff who prepare lovey food. I can't thank everyone enough who helped me during my short stay. Thank you again
I'm was here after operations 24-25 March and like tell thank you very much all the medical staff .
I would like to say how appreciative I am for everyone who has looked after me over the past couple of whirlwind days - the nurses (both day and night shift), the consultants (all 5 of you), surgeons, juniors, SHO's, Kitchen staff all at the Spencer Wing QEQM! Just everyone I have come into contact with, it would have been 100X worse without each one of you!! The Spencer Wing staff just made it that much more easy to relax and take my mind off everything!! I cannot fault a single thing about the Spencer Wing, and will be forever grateful to them for helping me through a stressful and upsetting time!!
Best place to stay - the best staff and the best facilities available!!
I only went in for day surgery. Everyone was friendly, particularly nurses eli jarrett and Maria Adams for their care whilst I was in recovery
I have to say that I found my surgeon mr mazuke really friendly and careing the staff was amazing and I would recommend the spencer xx
I have just spent a night in spencer after having a mastectomy under the NHS I nave to praise them for all they do and thank you for making a pleasant stay
I have just returned home after spending 2 days here for a hysterectomy. The staff were brilliant and took great care of me.
I had knee arthroscopy Saturday 27th January,2018.
I'd never had an operation before so was nervous. All staff were very kind and looked after me very well. The only thing I didn't like was the hospital gowns but nobody does. One week on and I'm going out for short walks.
I felt safe in the hands of Mr Jeer and his team.
Thankyou All.
I had a back and hip op at margate. Amazing staff, great place really know how to put people at ease, clean surroundings, everything that should be in a hospital. The kitchen staff even catered for my dietary requirements and didnŌĆÖt make me feel uncomfortable. Thank you again
I Cannot fault this hospital..I've had 2 procedures done here the care is excellent and it's clean..
How anybody can rate The Spencer at less than maximum is beyond me. I think they must have been plain unlucky when they were there.
I was in for 6 days so a fair bit of time to base my opinion. Relating to my experience, nursing staff 10/10 Doctors 10/10 and not forgetting the catering team, 10/10. As hospitals go this one is superb.
Highly professional and caring staff who made my hospital experience so much easier. I cannot thank them enough.
Had surgery yesterday, all of the staff were all lovely and couldn't fault anything I was explained everything and great care was given after
Had surgery through the NHS at the Spencer Private Hospital on Friday 19th of June 2015, great place, great people.
Had a toe fusion op here on Friday
What wonderful staff , I felt cared for , fully informed
Although in a lot of pain now , I know it will eventually be worth it ,thank you to all
Great Staff, nice calm surroundings. Felt like I was the only patient being cared for.
Everyone was so fantastic and so caring thank you so much for all my care and Mr Muzak brilliant
Couldn't ask for better care very caring and really nice staff
Absolutely amazing care and highly professional
Very helpful and friendly staff. Kept informed all the time during my wife's stay with vist by the surgeon and anaesthetist with talks of what was going to happen
I was admitted to Spencer Wing under the NHS for a right hip replacement on 27th September and discharged on the 30th. I received very good care from the staff, but particular mention needs to be made regarding Maria and Becca, who were kind and compassionate. I was very fortunate to be under the excellent care of Mr Slack and Dr Perreira. Temi (the Doctor) and Ade (the Physio) were encouraging and very supportive. I am now three weeks post op and the improvement is phenomenal. I now look forward to my next visit, so that Mr Slack can sort out my left hip as soon as possible! Regards, Lizanne Allcock
I had surgery in January 2016. Im over the moon with how i was looked after and how quickly i recovered. However, there was a stupid remark made by one nurse but i didnt put in a complaint as i wasnt really up to it, although if anyone wants to know i shall tell them. Other than that one nurse i really cant grumble! My specialist is absolutely amazing and is doing everything he can to help me. Overall very very happy!
Checked I for hernia op. Room was good and the staff where superb
Cant say i loved it. Who wants to love being in hospital. Perhaps it could be worded differently. However my experience was GREAT as an nurse practitioner myself and not been in hosp since i had my tonsils out when i was 6 so over 50 years ago.
I had a really smooth transition from start to finish. Nurse diannah..From admittance to discharge in less than 5 hours with keyhole surgery..Mr Jeer. I understand i had the best. My sister Lesley Henderson tells me (she works in day surgery) i cant remember my anaesthstist only Terry sticks iny mind who came to mark my leg. Lol. He has a great way of making you comfortable and understand the procedure. And believe me I was very scared. After going down to theatre i remember none of it. Just the pain when i got home and through the first night. I then knew i had the procedure done..
Anyway thank you all for my care.. hope my operation is succesful now. Follow up in 2 weeks.
Over all good .But could do with up dating. Staff i come across where very nice & helpful nothing was to much trouble . Quick discharge only had toast & coffee but was good & delivered with a smile
