'Consultant Leander' is available now .....but our hippo won't be around for long! The final public exhibition of the hippos, created as part of the celebrations of Leander's 200th anniversary, will be held on on Wednesday 12th September 2018 between 12pm and 8pm, at Leander Club, Henley-on-Thames RG9 2LP.

Being overweight could lead to a string of concurrent health conditions - for instance type 2 diabetes - and directly affects a person's quality of life. In the UK weight is now a bigger challenge than ever, as a result of the obesogenic environment in which people are exposed to unhealthy foods that are cheap and readily available. Current public health systems are struggling to cope and it can be at least 18 months before an individual is referred to a Consultant. Even then... funding may not be available.
It is not easy to hide weight issues and those suffering from obesity will often be well informed about the clinical options for weight loss, but may have questions that they still need to ask an expert.

A date for your diary's! We're proud to be a Macmillan Cancer Support accredited chemotherapy clinic and on September 28th we will be taking part in The World's Biggest Coffee Morning, raising funds for those diagnosed with Cancer.
