Splash Pad At The Gap

We hope you've enjoyed one of the warmest summers in a long time. Looking ahead, the Splash Pad is scheduled to close at the end of September, however we will review during the last week of September and extend the opening into October if the weather stays kind 😎

Exciting news for the Splash Pad - we are finally able to reopen the facility today - Wednesday June 27th. Enjoy!

---UPDATE---
Test results to ensure the water quality at Splash Pad are of the required standard are ongoing and the attraction remains closed.
The results from the laboratory are now expected in the early part of next week. A second mandatory test in the pipes picked up a low level of bacteria and meant the Council’s engineers had to disinfect the network.
... A spokesman for the Council said: "We are sorry we cannot open this popular attraction but we are sure residents would wish us to be 100 per cent sure that the water is pure.
"Hopefully this should be clear now and we can open next week when the official confirmation comes through. It is unfortunate but we will not open before we are certain."

Many of you will be aware that the Splash Pad At the Gap water attraction on Worthing seafront is currently out of action.
We are sorry to say that there is an issue with the quality of the water coming into the site, which means that it does not meet recommended standards. A small number of beach chalets have also been affected.
... Our engineers have been on site regularly trying to locate and fix the issue. We are currently waiting for water sample results, which are due back at the end of this week. As soon as we receive the all clear, the attraction will be up and running again for everyone to enjoy.

Good morning all, We're hoping to receive further news regarding the Splash Pad today, and will update you as soon as we hear from the engineers.

We are pleased to announce that the annual checks for the Splash Pad have been completed, with the final results for the water checks due back this week. All being well, the Splash Pad At the Gap will be open again for this weekend. However, our Engineers have noticed that only the bollard activation point is working at present. The activation pads in the surface of the Splash Pad do require new parts which will be addressed later on this month. Once it is opened, the Splash Pad will remain switched on throughout the Summer season through to September/October depending on the weather. This is throughout the week and at weekends too. We hope you enjoy using the facility.

We are happy to announce that our Engineers are just waking up the 'Splash Pad At the Gap' after its long Winter nap. We just need to carry out a few checks before it is ready for action again. Please bear with us over the next couple of weeks until we know it is fully operational. Many thanks!
