If you don’t usually go to church, this is an ideal time to come along. The atmosphere is relaxed and the dress casual. Sit back, enjoy breakfast and some good music, and listen to a talk about one of life’s big questions. Separate children’s activities.

A Better Story Tony Vino is the only half Spanish half Scottish hybrid working comic in the world! Born in Malaga and raised in the Costa Del Preston, Lancashire, when he was only a toddler his Father looked around saw the sea, the sand and the sunshine of the Andalucian coast and thought we need to be nearer Wigan Pier. https://www.facebook.com/tonyvino

Over the summer, please pray for "A Better Story" our mission at the end of September. The planning for this is progressing very well with an appealing mix of special events being lined up to invite friends to! Please be thinking and praying about who you might speak to about it over the summer...

Sometimes called the greatest show on earth, the FIFA World Cup is almost over. Based on figures from 2014, perhaps you have been part of the 3.2 billion people watching events unfold in Russia? Yet through it all – love it or hate it – it is still just only a game and life must go on! As a Christian it is difficult not to think of another amazing event on earth that truly changed history – the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Perhaps it is no surprise that over the years spectators have held up at the World Cup, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Simple coincidence or divine timing? As we continue our Guest Sunday series exploring how to live wisely in this connected age of smartphones and social media, you might find BBC One's Panorama programme "Smartphones: The Dark Side" – broadcast earlier this week – timely and thought provoking! And for something completely different, why not take a visit to Douai Abbey http://douaiabbey.org.uk/ just along the road in Woolhampton to hear how Benedictine monks 'do' life!

This year's Thy Kingdom Come campaign is now in full swing – are you a part of it? Why not find out more at https://www.thykingdomcome.global/. It kicked off on Ascension Day (10 May) with thousands around the world praying, that as Jesus was sent into the world to preach the good news of the kingdom, we too might be inspired by the Spirit to do the same, so that all who hear God's Word might be drawn to Him through Jesus Christ!

The format of this Sunday will be distinctively different – cafe church – and is intended to make it easier for people who don’t normally come to church to do so. We begin with breakfast and the service will last 45 minutes. There will be some worship, although this will have a greater performance element. Separate crèche and children’s programmes will be provided.

This Pentecost we will be joined by Andy Dipper, Principal of All Nations Christian College. One of the UK's leading mission colleges, All Nations' purpose is to train and equip men and women for effective participation in God's mission to His multi-cultural world. Following the service there will be a drinks reception, mission exhibits, and a bring and share lunch. We would encourage as many as possible to stay on for food, so please sign up on the sheet at the Welcome Point. Please make the day a priority.
