Hi Everyone,
Just to let you know that the shop will be closed from 12pm Wednesday (25th July) whilst I have a little break to Spain in between weddings and I'll be back in the shop on Saturday 4th August.

Forget Waistcoat Wednesday, that's so last week, today is White Shirt Wednesday at Stafford Tailoring HQ and look at this bumper crop I've got!
Each of these shirts has been made for a different person, most of them for weddings and there are more that I couldn't fit in. Several of these are with contrasting trim fabrics and even the suit linings that they go with for the trim.
Ok I was only joking about the waistcoats, it's always Waistcoat Wednesday here and Check out this ...family, it's also Prince of Wales Wednesday! This pattern is proving very popular at the moment and I love this collection of grey checked suits, one is for Ascot, one is for a wedding in Finland and one is for a wedding here in the UK.
Apparently I have a lot of fittings to do!

Hi Everyone, just to give you advanced warning that I'll be closing the shop early this Saturday by 2pm. The Fleet Carnival procession will close the town centre and it does get very noisy so I'm going to go home early and it's really not for any other possible reason, honest! ;-)

So my calendar is looking pretty busy for next week! If you need an appointment I suggest you see me in the morning! ;-)

I'm having a day dedicated to Ascot and prom suits! I've got these ready for fittings quite early but there is still time to order one if you need it :-)

Here's my new short sleeved summer shirt and 'Mesh' blazer. This is a light porous fabric, perfect for a summer jacket.
Many men neglect their summer wardrobe but there are plenty of options for casual and smart-casual shirts, jackets and even tailored shorts as well as suits for work or occasions in a variety of lightweight fabrics.

I'm loving this. Have a look at all these beautiful clothes hanging two by two in the shop today. One of each of these is my own shirt or suit and the other is for someone who has had something made the same as me, even down to linings and shirt trim! :-)
I'm not sure whether this is saying that I'm such a super trend-setter or whether it's just that us blokes find it much easier to choose something when we can see it front of us! But either way, I always feel honoured when someone shares my taste and becomes my new suit brother! ;-)

Hi Everyone,
It's Royal Ascot next month so if you need to hire an outfit please can you see me as soon as possible for that.
There are some changes to the dress code for this year including a requirement of socks for gentlemen so no bare ankles this year please! I've linked the dress code for you.

Hi Everyone, I hope you are suitably recovered from the Beastie and glad to see the back of it like I am!
I had a client ask this morning about summer and casual suits now that we are edging into Spring and this is always a good idea and important to think ahead with your wardrobe to get maximum use out of your garments when the season starts.
So I've started a new board for 'Summer and casual suits' on my Pinterest page so please have a look at that and all my other boards i...f you need any ideas.
It would be great if you can help me add pictures to them and I also create secret boards for people too that just you and I can see and we can fill them with pictures of your ideas, I find this very helpful particularly with outfits for weddings and occasions.
If you do have ideas for any other boards you would like me to make please let me know :-)

Hi Everyone,
I'm keeping the shop closed today and possibly tomorrow (Friday 2nd March) also and putting off any unnecessary appointments as I don't want anyone risking the hazardous driving conditions if it can wait.

This is my last week open for a while. I'll be in the shop on Saturday 23rd December then flying off to Spain on Christmas Eve and then I won't be back open until Saturday 13th January so if you do need any vouchers for Christmas presents or dinner suits hiring for New Year's Eve please come and see me for those as soon as possible.

Stafford Tailoring will be closing for Christmas on Saturday 23rd December this year and will not re-open until Friday 12th January so if you do need any dinner suit hire for New Year's Eve or before please call me to book that as soon as possible.
You are welcome to book in to order any bespoke items and they should be ready by mid-January if the fabrics are ordered in time before Christmas.
I have gift vouchers available which are best for gifting someone a bespoke shirt fo...r example, please call me if you want any of these, I can send them out by post if required.

This is Tracy's lovely new jacket which has got some lovely vintage buttons that she sourced and brown suede collar and pocket piping that I sourced :-)

Just got this jacket and waistcoat combo ready for Steven and I'm rather jealous! I like this because it works with my idea of having 3 different trousers to wear with one jacket, ie matching as a 3 piece, or plain navy matching the fabric check or plain grey matching the background colour :-)

When looking around for my wedding suit hire I visited quite a few of the big chain shops and a few smaller independants around the Guildford area with not much luck. Stafford Tailoring was quite local so we thought we would go and have a look. What a fantastic shop Ben has. He really brings a personal touch to the whole experience and makes everything so easy. Call ahead first and book an appointment as he likes to give you his full attention. We were a bit awkward as some of my groomsmen lived too far away to come in for a suit fitting. Again Ben was really helpful by guiding them through the measurements (directly) and even supplied a couple of spares for the odd shaped chaps just in case. Also, Phil split his hired trousers performing some advanced dance moves at the wedding - not a problem as it was covered by the hire insurance. Ben really took care of every detail for us. So refreshing for anyone organising a wedding. The best part of the shop is the bespoke suits and shirts he makes. He takes a lot of pride in his work and is keen to show his latest creations. After visiting the shop my (now) wife bought me one of his bespoke shirts - best shirt I've ever owned in terms of fit, quality and the customised detailing. Give him a ring and book an appointment. Highly recommend.

Thank you for making our complete experience memorable. Our suits looked fab at our wedding, and we have them to wear again! Nothing is too much trouble for Ben, he went out of his way to help us get everything right. Our guests commented on the suits, and the personal touches such as the date of the wedding on the shirt, buttons and lining. Picture being sent for the wall! Thank you Ben, for everything!

I've just picked up a quite wonderful jacket to go with the shirts Ben made me two years ago, both birthday presents from my wife. I can't recommend Stafford tailoring enough. The garments are the best I've ever owned and the service from Ben has, on both occasions, been absolutely fantastic. He even tolerated my deranged toddler rampaging round the shop and, believe me, that takes patience.

Can't thank Ben enough, absolutely wonderful service. We went to see him a week ago today for suit hire for my son's prom yesterday evening. We had left it very late but he was so accommodating. We got everything we needed from him, 3 piece suit, shirt, tie, shoes, were even given cufflinks. Such an easy option. We went for a fitting on the Tuesday so that any adjustments could be made if required by the Friday. Everything was perfect however, and my son really looked the part. Unfortunately my son ripped the trousers towards the end of the evening but all items covered by insurance and Ben was so nice about it. Would highly recommend, and thank you so much Ben.
