Stanmore Golf Club

Great work from the guys over the past few weeks. Greens have been spiked and dressed with sand, with minimal disturbance, along with all the usual work. Also sprayed the greens tees and fairways this last week.

Congratulation to our Course Manager Barry Neville who was presented with an engraved watch, to mark 25 years of service to the club.

Bill Summer Cup - Result - Staff v The Board - Wednesday 29th May 2019 Congratulation to everyone who participated in the Match. Board Team - Captain - Kirti, Lionel, Dave, Pat, Vinod, Tony, Marian and Daphne. Staff Team - Captain - Allan, Ian, Martin, Stephen, Christopher, Daniel, Yashu & Tommy Both teams played well on the day and all in good fun. The overall result, was a honorable Draw. The Staff Team for next year, already have there secret players in training.

Coverage begins today on Sky Sports Golf at 1pm and 6pm on Thursday and Friday and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Sky Sports Main Event will also cover the PGA Championship from 1pm, 6pm and 10pm on Thursday, 10pm on Friday, 5.30pm on Saturday and 7pm on Sunday.

Great week on the golf course. A drain installed on the 7th green and then are area reinstated. Tees have all been vertidrained seeded and dressed. Most ropes brought in now the course is drying nicely. Most of the course cut and tidied and looking great for April.
