Stansted Light Railway

Don't forget to include a trip to the railway and a visit to the Pavillion in your Father's Day plans.

What a great weekend lies ahead. It is time to discover (or rediscover) the delights of Stansted Park. There is a good play area, the Pavilion restaurant,the garden centre, nice walks and of course the light railway. Please share this with all your friends who still may not know about the little trains.

A sunny Sunday morning, the right sort of a day to visit Stansted, have a train ride and check out the details of the Easter egg hunt.

Easter is coming and plans are being made for an Easter egg hunt and train rides. However don't wait until Easter to enjoy the Trains, pick a dry weekend day and go and have fun.

The railway will be open for night runs over three nights at Halloween. You will travel around the track in the dark and may encounter a witch or ghost. A great night out for all. Due to demand tickets maybe limited. Please talk to the staff at the railway for more information.

Sunshine and warmth, take the opportunity to visit Stanstead with the little ones ( and not so little). Ride the train, visit the farm shop and garden centre, and enjoying a snack & coffee.

The railway will be running to 4pm today, a great place to take your little ones.

" Thomas " - comes out of the Engine Shed from time to time and parks in a siding near to the station for the younger children to inspect and sit upon.

WANTED. Volunteers wanted to assist in the running of the railway. No specific skills required. If you have free time on either a Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday and would like a new challenge come and talk to other volunteers. Please forward this post to anybody you know who may be interested.
