We went to Staunton Farm yesterday as we had intended to go for ages. So glad we did! The animals look so healthy, happy and cared for. There was so much to do for the children and all ages are catered for (including big kids). We took a picnic as there are lots of areas you can sit although the food from the cafe looked very nice. The gardens are gorgeous and peaceful. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm glad we signed up for the yearly ticket as I think we will be going often. The staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful. We were very surprised that this is council owned as my experience of council run places is that they are over priced and poorly run. But not on this occasion. Well done!!

We have visited here often - I have 3 children aged 3,5 and 7. There is something for all of them. The younger ones love feeding and seeing all the animals and the indoor play barn is a bonus on wet and extra hot days. It’s exceptionally good value for a family day out. The cafe serves a good selection of food, drinks and ice creams/lollies. The extra activities during the school holidays are always a bonus. Can’t wait for spring time for lambing season. Would thoroughly recommend the farm to anyone.

User

We had a farm birthday here on Saturday it was amazing! The children got to feed the lambs, pigs, hold baby guinea pigs and chicks. They were not rushed and it was a really lovely atmosphere! I would defiantly recommended it. There was even time for them to have pass the parcel and dance games!

User

We go to the farm a lot as we have a yearly pass and we love it. Saw some lovely piglets, baby goats and 2 Rhea chicks.

I got chatting to one of the staff who was amazingly helpful, told me groups to look out for and all the renovation work that’s being carried out on both sides. He even helped us source some hay to make a scarecrow (shop bought hay/straw is too short).

This great service is why I’ll keep buying a yearly pass and keep going back.

User

Thank you to Staunton and Hayling Island donkeys (Ozzie and Bertie) for hosting my daughters 5th birthday party. We LOVE coming and you pulled out the stops today. Thank you to our hosts and face painters Ansie and Emily - you looked after us all so well.

Thank you to everyone there, animals included (even the Lairy Llama!)

User

Second trip here today and we love it! Lots to see and do for all ages. Nice selection of food in the cafe. Maybe needs more benches around the farm.

User

Just wanted to say how fantastic Staunton tots is!!! We were able to attend 4 sessions recently, Pigs, Shetland ponies, Bees and the Teddy bear's picnic session. Every one was so well planned and run by Mel and the staff and they were all so informative and interactive. Every week we were excited to see what we would do and who (animal) we would meet! The new born piglets were adorable. The bee session in particular was fantastic, we loved meeting a bee keeper and making candles and my daughter has been talking about the importance of bees ever since. I really recommend these sessions as I think they are great value. Unfortunately my little one is off to school now but I look forward to doing them in the future with my youngest!

User

I'd just like to say how pleased I am after our visit today. Not only was the farm and grounds excellent for the children with so much to do and plenty of hand washing stations. But it was refreshing to visit your cafe and see so many gluten free options available!

As a coeliac I struggle to eat out anywhere. Often there is only one option available. It was pleasing to see not one but three different types of sandwich options, a cake option and plenty of gluten free snacks. Fantastic!

Well done Staunton, will definitely be returning for another visit.

User

I took my 19 month old son here today the staff were really helpful and friendly and the lay out and set up of the farm is really good and easy to find your way around. I think it is really good how they involve adults with learning disabilities with the farm and encourage them to help out with various jobs. Thank you for a lovely day will be returning soon. From James and Charlie

User

Great value for money especially if you have an annual pass. Outdoor play area, indoor play area and all the animals and plenty of space to run about. Stuff for different ages. Staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. There is a good range of animals and they are really well looked after.

User

Great local place to bring the kids and we come regularly with our pass. You can pop in for a couple of hours or spend a day there as there is so much to do. Feeding the animals as always a big hit and they love the outdoor playground and when it’s raining the indoor play barn. They have a nice cafe too!

User

A big thank you to the staff, who helped find my 2 year old who decided to walk himself to the soft play today! You were all very professional, quick and calm. Thank you again!

User

Went for the fairies and trolls event last week and was disappointed. Was only pictures of fairies and trolls was expecting to see some dressed up! Also very disappointed to see you have to pay to park so unfortunately I won’t be returning as I feel u shouldn’t have to pay or at least should get it off the entrance fee. It’s a shame because it’s great there otherwise.

User

Nice to see some improvements since our last visit, such as new fencing and gates. The staff were friendly and attentive. I appreciate that it's winter but generally found the whole site to be dreary and tired. The glass house with indoor pond area was particularly disappointing, looking so dirty and ill-maintained I would have been embarrassed to open it to the public, a sign saying closed due to lack of interest would have been more suitable for this part of the farm.

User

I visited the farm today for the first time. We came because of the advertised fairies and trolls event. The farm itself is nice and my niece enjoyed seeing the animals and walking around. The fairies and trolls event was very lacklustre and certainly not worth the extra £2 for a bag of glitter a paper star and make yourself a wand kit

User

Really disappointed! I came to see the fairies and trolls with my younger brother and mum and the we just found there was no creativity to the event so much more could have been done we paid £8.50 per adult and £4.50 for a child and and extra £2 for a activity pack! The event was advertised very well but didn’t deliver to my standards at all

User

Really disappointed in our visit today. We paid £8.50pp & £4 per child to visit the Fairies and Trolls that were virtually non existent and definitely not as advertised. It was an extra £2 per ‘fairy pack’ which included a painted lolly pop stick that smudged paint everywhere. We went to find the Face-painting that was advertised online and on the posters out the front (and also promised to the 4 Y/O) but couldn’t find it. The ladies on the front desk didn’t really have a clue and then then said that face painting had gone home: no apology. They were supposed to be there until 3.30pm and it was only 1.30pm. It’s a nice place to visit but we went over specifically for the fairies/trolls and we feel disappointed.

User

Really disappointed at the attitude of Staunton Country Park! And the way they treat their customers. They run a taster session for Tiddlers which we attend and G loves ...so I stand there with the lady that runs it in the courtyard before the sessions even go live... booking up all 6wks for us the attend at the cost of £4 as advertised.... turns out I also have to pay full entry for me! Just to go in for the 45min group! Sooo after £3 parking - G’s £4 and my £8.50 = £15.50 for a 45min baby class! Which at no point in my booking was I ever advised or told that this would be the case .... COMPLETE FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.. and what’s worse is that after speaking to a Manager today they don’t even care!!!

That is one incredibly expensive baby group!

MY ADVISE IS BOOK COURSES WITH CAUTION GUYS!

I am totally disappointed the even today of Fairy and trolls. There is supposed to be a dress up competition, my daughter was so excited about it, but at last it seems like she was the only one who dressed up? The trail of finding fairy and trolls are actually just looking for some tinny stickers on the wood, it’s really bit of poorly to me, maybe I expect over too much.
